What USB ports do you have? Do you have USB 2 or 3? Or is it too old to have any USB at all?

USB 2 at a guess. 2006 PC that was £200 brand new (so cheap). USB runs: this keyboard, this mouse .... and a USB stick where I keep my passwords

The easiest solution is to buy another computer.

Second easiest is to buy an cheap external hard drive like http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bipra-S2-NTFS-Portable-External/dp/B00GRWNDXG/ref=sr_1_68?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1402606501&sr=1-68&keywords=external+hard+drive+usb+2.0 and shove all your data onto it, so your internal disk drive is only for essential programs.

Probably it is time to buy a new computer... :D

I know, this has been on the list since 2009 - buy a new PC.

Well, if your bandwidth was OK you could upload to google docs and get around it like that. How is your bandwidth?

Alternatively, check out if any of your devices have USB storage potential. Like, for example, I have a mp3 player that can act as an 8gb flash pen...

I upgraded my bandwidth a few months back .... not checked it through my BT account to see what I'm using (it's always tricky to find so it's not something I look at more than once a year).

I did think of that .... but then CBA and wasn't sure about confidentiality of what I might be uploading etc.... so "left it"
    All a faff :)

Have retreated to bed after watching celebrity masterchef. They do make a mountain out of a molehill, and Andi Peters (who was one of the guest judges) gets ever more supercilious and judgemental by the moment.

*spoiler alert for the footie if you're waiting to catch the Brazil match ...*

I love it that the first goal in the tournament was an own goal by the host country! :rotfl:

Your phone has 8gb - why not stick 5gb of data on there to make your pc useable again?

Random day off tomorrow and got bought lunch today by my boss :)
    I think....

Oh, does it? I'd not want my data on that though .... it's not something I'm comfortable about.... as I take that out of the house on a regular basis (whether charged or not it's in my bag) ....

I've never thought of a phone as being a storage device for files.

I'll live with it ... not long now :)

£68 .... I couldn't believe it. I only went out for a £15 "dry cut" .... ended up having highlights done and a cut ... and no blow dry/finish. £68 .... staggered..... that was a "cheap place" as I'd done my research before I booked the cheap cut!!

Got the "newly qualified/junior" and the "colours at 10% off".... £68.... I won't be recovering this week..... or next.

    Posh alert!
That's more than I've spent on haircuts in at least 18 months.

Sink-wise I have a leaky plastic sink in the kitchen, single square bowl + a Belfast sink buried by weeds in the garden.

Eventually I'd like 1 1/2 Belfast sinks in the kitchen. Well have to see what I end up actually getting.
