I ended up with Emla's little brother. It's weaker but also contains an antiseptic.0

Would it help if there were a combined Brit team?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Random new question time. What sort of sinks do the NPs have?
My house will have a stainless steel sink, with a mixer tap and 1.5 bowls... looking forward to that as you can rinse things down in the 0.5. I keep a plastic bowl in the sink, so tipping coffee dregs into a single sink and rinsing a cup out's always a hassle. You end up lifting up the bowl and hoping to aim for the plughole... trying not to trap any coffee dregs under the bowl.0 -

Yes, we would definitely be much better. We did field a combined team at the last Olympics but that is a bit different as you are only allowed 3 players over the age of 23 or something like that.
That was probably a one off in the 'modern' era. It will never happen in other competitions because the Scottish, Welsh and NI football associations would effectively become redundant so it would be turkeys voting for Christmas. Plus the fans on all sides would be very resistant I think. Football is too polarised and tribal for it to work except in special cases like the Olympics (and even then the Scottish, welsh and NI associations refused to have anything to do with it; players from those countries did play but without the support of their governing bodies).0 -

We have the same but it is made out of porcelain I think. I intend to put most stuff in the dishwasher. We only have 4 plates at the moment so we need to buy some more quick otherwise the dishwasher running costs are going to get silly.0 -

There'd be one player who would get in as a result. He's the best player in his position and would make a huge difference.
The trouble is that it would get all political about which nation players were picked from. If all the Scottish or English players were rubbish you'd still need to pick a couple.
Having said that, if Pat Jennings, George Best or Kenny Dalglish had been playing for Britain perhaps the English wouldn't still go on about 196 bloody 6.0 -
Would you really have picked Jennings over Gordon Banks, or Peter Shilton ? King Kenny over Kevin Keegan ? George Best over.........okay George Best over everybody else !!!
Actually the Scotland team of 1978, with a decent GK and maybe 3 or 4 other players from the rest of GB would have been a pretty good team.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0
