I thought lawns have stripes because you mow down one strip, turn around and mow up. I didn't realise there was an art to it.
The lawn will certainly have stripes if you do that. But the stripes probably won't be in the right place, not if it's a large lawn. And the stripes probably won't all be the same width. Also, they probably won't be straight.:D
Guess it depends on what you want...
Most people who want stripey lawns are doing it for the look of the thing. They even do things like using a trimmer to get a nice beveled edge around the lawn.
Can I be bothered? Nope. Not unless someone were to pay me, in which case I'd even be willing to give them a nice diamond pattern if they liked.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Practice your mental mathematics, start with multiplication tables like 17 or 23. See how far you get.
I always kind of think this is why there are so many polystyrene tiles ceilings. Its also possible to play a game a bit like cloud spotting in ceiling speckles or....in some places stainage.

Don't be passive aggressive. Be aggressive aggressive. It's much more fun:D“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I have 180.
I was asking about overpaying. As long as I pay 3x or more than the monthly instalment, it can be classed as a capital repayment, & I can choose whether to reduce the term of the mortgage, or retain the term but reduce the monthly payment.
I plan to make a big payment this month, reduce the monthly term, then over the next 12 months make a series of overpayments reducing the term....
Some advise keeping the term the same and just keeping payments same (so overpaying) as if for some reason you want to pay less you then can but once the term is reduced it is treated as a new application to increase it agian (did that make sense?)I think....0 -

My heart would love to actually see the term of my mortgage creeping down, but my head says that reducing the minimum payments makes much more sense for after my fix finishes/ if I ended up with a reduced income for whatever reason. So I just guesstimate how much I might be taking off the term.0 -

Personally, I'd always advise reducing the minimum payments on the theory that if you reduce them far enough you've paid the mortgage off anyway:D
I think the extra flexibility of the lower repayments can be very helpful...“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
