It sounds like fun, silvercar. Two days isn't long enough to get bored, even alone.

I love the Trip Advisor app, it's invaluable anywhere, especially abroad. Pick somewhere for lunch and dinner, visit the shops one day and sight seeing the other. It will work out what is nearest to your hotel while you're there so you don't end up going far across town if there's somewhere nearer.

Just drink champagne on the flight and ask your friends if they have any Diazepam (Have you seen Bridesmaids!). Statistically, I think the chance of anything happening is even lower than it was a few weeks ago. :o

The problem is going to eat alone in anything more formal than a starbucks.

(I have diazepam in stock, though never taken it.)

Sigh. Thank you. The zip is at the back. The problem is that the bottom part is stretchy but the top part is boned. When it gets to the top it's taut and it squashes what boobage I have flat, making me look like a sausage now. If I could have got the zip up, I could have coped with slightly sausage-like, but now I am a sausage that may not stay skinned! To be fair to myself, I've also realised that it's a size 10 and didn't exactly have much wiggle room when I bought it.

Water retention stuff like Adios? I've never used it but I'm about to buy some!

I have DDs parent's evening at 5pm. From there, I can go straight to Birmingham, hopefully by 6 if they run on time, which gives me about 2 hours to hit the obvious places. I need to make myself respectable before then. I have bad hair, no makeup, a just about passable black dress on and woolly purple Uggs. I look possessed.

I could have hired one if I weren't so confident on the dress situation. What an idiot :(

Water retention tablets or those wrap treatments that take inches off you. A friend did that before a holiday and we watched her grow each day. Took about 2 weeks to regain all the puffiness.

Failing that lir's idea of a shrug would be good.

I have a big friend who squeezes herself into a favoured dress and takes a spare with in case she bursts.

It's probably not that cruel but this is the daily mail we're talking about:D

So, are the EA's being totally open & honest?

There's only one problem with them not being open an honest. Wood Lane End, which is a cut through to the Hemel Hempstead Industrial Estate and off which Oatridge Gardens and Masons Road sits, is closed except for access. Anyone trying to get to view the house would have to drive pass big signs that say something along the lines of "road closed due to sink hole". It really is not a great time to sell any house there.

Show pony people sometimes wrap their ponies necks in cling film. It used to make me laugh wryly. When friends did this I used to suggest instead of having over weight ponies they had to sweat a neck off to try and make look muscles not fat I would just suggest they had fit ones instead. Its harder to create a fit horse with correct musculature than a fat one you see. But kind of the point of doling it I always thought.

OH goes to spinning class three times a week. Apparently some chap turns up for every class wrapped in a black bin bag with a hoodie over the top. I expect he does sweat more than he otherwise would but it seems likely he will have to just drink more water afterwards in order to prevent himself from dying...

Seems like it could help you to lose weight long term. It would stop you getting interrupted because a beautiful female thought you were attractive and people in general would keep well away from you because of the stink so you'd have better access to the machines.

At dh's gym there is a spinning class and a really, REALLY old man does it. DH says the staff were unwilling to let him join the class but he keeps up. ( glass window to "real gym " ) DH watches him while he runs sometimes and it makes DH keep going.

We have a friend who is really into that really hot room yoga . I cannot think of anything worse than being in a confined room with a whole room of people sweating profusely while yoga-ing tbh. I actually don't really like normal yoga as a large group activity so much as a small group or solo one.

Crivens. Apparently when the polytechnics became unis, Newcastle's was to become the City University of Newcastle upon Tyne.

First day back to work today. I feel like crap but sitting at home chewing up codeine all day isn't going to help me feel better either. The weather is horrible too.

I just have to get through to Thursday to find out what happens next. This is the bit I'm bad at. I can cope with the pain as man of steel.

I found a dress that does not make me look like a sausage! Five minutes to closing time. I like it enough that it's hanging on the outside of my wardrobe so I can admire it :D

I have also taken four aquaban and consumed 1.5l of water, just in case. I would take myself spinning wrapped in cling film tomorrow if I weren't at the hairdresser first thing. Shame.

I really would keep a wide berth between me and anyone wearing a bin bag!
