Less beer and pies then!0 -
I got distracted looking at the preview of Martin's email ....
To be honest, the whole "point" of this website is mostly completely irrelevant to my life/lifestyle. It's mostly about saving money for families ... and saving money on buying pricey stuff.0 -

I don't have the requisite self control for that solution!0 -
I found most of the Complainers programme a bit boring to be honest. Got distracted reading the DM online instead....
As it was all about London, London transport, Londoners .... it lost my attention as it's all alien to me.0 -

Embrace your inner l4rd4rse then ... and bin the scales
I've not got scales... well, I might find some in a box when I finally unpack .... in which case I've not used them for 7 years since I boxed them up. But, I might have ditched them at some point in an effort to continually try to minimise my portable belongings.
I bought/enjoyed a Pukka pie, chips and mushy peas the other day0 -

I've never signed up either - on Tuesday evenings, a link appears at the top of the forums, then at some point later on the link on the rhs updates.
Much of it is family stuff, but there are some useful things in there too.
The Green Deal stuff includes some pricey things I've been vaguely thinking of anyway - insulation (loft is insulated, but the house has solid walls), boiler, new front door (though I'm not sure whether they have nice looking high performance doors). And if I wanted internal solid wall insulation, I guess now would be a good time to do it (before I start decorating etc).
But there aren't enough details to look at online - make everyone advertise the cost of an assessment on their website, can I have a bit of external insulation (the house is half clad at the front - would make sense to externally insulate this as it needs re-doing anyway) etc etc.
Ultimately I'll probably just not do anything about it.0 -

My house, being quite new, has an EPC of B. Won't be doing any insulation stuff....
I've just tried looking for mine, but its not in my 'house buying' folder. Think it was G rated or somewhere around that...
Edit: Found it - didn't have a paper copy, it was in my emails.
Current rating E (low E), with G being the lowest possible rating.0 -

I know it doesn't come easy to you, but have you been chasing your solicitor at all? I'm sure things only moved as fast as they did for me (which still wasn't that fast) because I was in close contact with my solicitor (or their colleague anyway) so they kept pestering the other solicitor. You should be much further along by now - you're not faffing around with a mortgage!0
