No GP call. Sat by this phone all bloody afternoon. Grrrrrrrrrreee

I guess they have a list of people they can call ... if they're not called out for emergencies. As opposed to them just not bothering.

    Hope you're still feeling well.

Yes, feeling well. :):) but duty dr at weekend said I must speak to / see my GP today. Well, I really didn't need to see him, but agreed he needs to know what happened on sat, but......if he won't call I cannot tell him!

I know he'll also have had a letter with my results and that he won't have seen them, so I'd also like to ask a couple of things about that that he'll know, things I don't need to email consultant with.

He's been in surgery. They call patients between appts. I know that's how they work at my surgery.

I made it clear to reception I felt well and didn't need appt but duty dr said must convey stuff on Monday....( then I said but its a bank holiday, then we had a discussion about admission and me saying it would be ridiculous to admit me when I felt well, and he said, ok, but you come back to duty dr or a and e mean time if things get worse and speak to GP on Tuesday....) :rotfl:

I don't care if he's not bothered tbh. :D. He's a professional I see not my friend. :) and if he couldn't take my call under the circumstances , that they have not been expected to mind read, someone should. Because if this should get worse there are no external symptoms and the notes aren't joined up till I speak to GP iiuc from duty dr and what was said here.

See, I'm grumpy and pompous, I feel GREaT.:D

Doesn't sound pompous at all. Someone should have called, even if it was to say GP couldn't today.

Very pleased you're still feeling great :j

In a pathetic attempt at on upmanship, my mother was in hospital for four months before she gave birth to me and several weeks after. She says she got vry fed up of grapes!

Going the other direction, mum never made it to the labour ward with me as I was 6 weeks early and rather unexpected.

My brother (who, also, didn't make it to the labour ward) kept up the family tradition when my niece was born a year ago. I think his partner started getting pains at about breakfast, she rang him at about 10am, he got home at about 1020, they got to the hospital at about 11am, partner was too far on to sit in the wheelchair, and niece was born at about 1115!

Grrr. How annoying. Hope it happens tomorrow and glad you're feeling OK still :T

Thanks, have switched over. Am now chuckling at some of the complainers and feeling very grateful not to work in the customer service centre.

I like Duane. He is exceptionally patient. Traffic Droid on the other hand is a little bit scary, and a whole bit bonkers.

ETA, and if anyone isn't watching and is wondering, this is Traffic Droid:

Traffic Droid is a hero! I don't like the Bott fellow though, he's just a rude man with a lot of spare time.

Spoke to consultant on the phone today. He says it looks like I only have cartilage damage which means only a key hole operation to repair and back to full fitness in 6-8 weeks. No ligament damage he thinks, which is a massive relief because I just weighed myself which confirmed that I cannot go another 9 months without exercise.

Sounds like I need to watch this on 4+1...

I got distracted looking at the preview of Martin's email which made me start to wonder whether I should look into the Green Deal Schemes...

45 minutes later and I am none the wiser.

Sounds good news chewy. Anything you will need to be careful doing after that? Eg skiing

I'll give Traffic Droid one thing, he may be completely bonkers but he has the biggest pair (metaphorically) I think I've ever seen on TV.
