    I hate that green - last house I bought had that green in the hallway when I moved in, that green and peach ... with a dado rail height beach/green border paper and below that a peach/green wallpaper (all very 1980s middle aged Mrs Bucket style)

    I think it was the other way up when they first hung it, but can't be sure I'm remembering correctly.

    And no, I wouldn't let them anywhere near my house either.

    Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
    Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.     :)

    On the vacuum front, I'd planned getting a dyson when I moved. No idea which one, but have seen/read/heard enough good reviews. Plus, bagless wins for me too.

    Regarding dvd player, is it for the lounge, or a bedroom? Also, is it mainly for films, tv programmes, or kids dvd's?
    It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

    60 minute makeover - furniture put outside in the wind - and a tall cabinet just blew over (front side down onto the pavement) .... so now he's got to get the scratches out of it.
