Hope you are able to get him to talk at least a little bit about what he wants and doesn't want.

I remember my mother telling me how nervous she felt about meeting LNE's parents for the first time - which was during our engagement. She said, "What will they think of us? I mean, they're probably normal!"

The first meeting between my parents and ex's parents did not go well....their dog bit my dad!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I think my sibling's inlaws only met my parents once or twice. Maybe before the wedding, maybe at the wedding; then maybe one more time.

They were posher than us - and for Xmas for maybe 10 years they'd send us a tin of M&S biscuits... oh the utter luxury. We LOVED getting those biscuits.... it was one of the things we really looked forward to.... then, one year they changed the gift :( Never got those biscuits again.

My parents play bingo with my ex mother in law every week and we have even all been on holiday together, not once but several times over the years.

I can understand that, but I find it a pain in the butt trying to find/buy bags and get the right one/faff about trying to fit it.

I plan on putting my bagless one inside a supermarket carrier, while outside in the garden, then shaking it...... see what happens. Won't know until I've done it the first time.

I suspect that if I get a bagged one I will run out of bags at inconvenient moments. I've had a Dyson for about 10+ years. I empty it directly into the wheelie bin outside and never have any problems. The dust flies about a bit, but only down inside the bottom of the wheelie bin, and I don't care about dust there.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

It is now bed time. My levels are pretty near perfect:j

Does that mean I have to eat something so I do not have a Hypo or will my body go into...we need food mode and start generating its own glucose as it did a few weeks ago.

I feel like this is a lucky dip decision as I have no idea what is for the best.

My googling before said eat some protein before going to bed.

I need to sleep (long day tomorrow) but because I have slept/been drowsy most of the day I am now skipping about like a spring lamb.

Have packed the car and had a lovely moment thinking about the NP meet up I went to. Picturing faces, recalling hearing accents/NP voices.

I am using a hand bag tomorrow that I must not have used since that evening. It had Zag and Gen's mobile numbers on a post it in the pocket . It also had a forgotten emergency £50 in it (in case cards/purse nicked), so this has been an unprecedented week for returns on investments in handbags (£90 from two bags).

On the not so good side the bag had chewing gum stuck to the bottom (yuk).

Ok if Lydia is still up..it is time to go to sleep..or in my case eat goats cheese or parma ham then go to sleep.

Ex husband had to go to bed with levels slightly higher than normal otherwise he would be hypo by 5am but then he was a weird diabetic with addisons disease.

I have a Henry vaccum cleaner, excellent little thing and very easy to use.

I've not had a wheelie bin.... there'll be one at the new house though. Things will go into black sacks first, then into the wheelie bin... nothing will go in on its own.... but I'd be happy with my carrier bag solution, then twisting the handles into a knot and lobbing that in.

Claire Sweeney on Pick channel (freeview) doing a 60 minute makeover for a student who bought a house and lived there with other students ... and they're now giving it a makeover.

Might be interesting watching for people who have recently bought ex student digs houses :)

She's had it 5 years... the bloke in it was her lodger/a student, but now they're a couple.

Edit: Eww... black leather tiles (2' square) being adhered to the chimney breast as a feature wall.

Edit 2: Special retro/vinyl-style wallpaper from EW Moore

Edit 3: Er ... Roman blinds - they were awful and 'trendy' in the mid 80s. Dust traps!

Thank you. This makes me feel very nurtured. :o

I'd introduced MY girlfriend to you if I had one silvercar. ;)

I am being sensible, promise, pottering rather than sprinting, hauling or alternatively just sitting and cheering on DH. But I do feel really good.

We just finished our longest border so I am going to do the mobility lawn mower now I think. Not sure. Just come into take my pills and not flagging.

Pacing is so hard, because I do feel good.

    Miele or Henry commercial<

I have a Miele and it does a pretty decent job. I'd say it best point is it's build quality/ longevity.

We've always had Miele but RP bought one to replace a supermarket one I go
Ugh and actually I am not impressed by newer model. Somehow way less effective than our really old one.

There is- make raved about on the board, John Lewis sell it, but it er, cannot remember the name.

We had a basic Henry in London, I thi they are great but it really did lack the finesse and super finish of Miele.

All that said, next time I think I'd like a robovac for basic floors and something lighter for finer detailed cleaning/edges. I might do it more then :rotfl:

I buy about six months bags at a time, The bags I buy are not Miele but a generic one that fit Miele that I buy in my local hardware shop. I just have to tell them which Miele models I have ( I have the new Miele and the old one still) . These generic bags are available for lots of brands of mainstream vacuums.
