<Invisible to PN> We are now the proud possessors of 5 'Weston' garden recliners for £45</Invisble to PN>
Did have to go to 2 Homebase though, in the first they insisted on calling all the local B&Qs and checking they were out of stock, in second they just had to look up their own price match policy online and then did price match, I didn't press them for the 10% of the difference on top....I think....0 -

Such a nice "new home" present for PN, I'm sure she said she needed garden recliners. She will be delighted. Josh has found something he quite likes doing, hot air gunning old paint off a door, he has to be fully supervised whilst doing it because of his poor memory but he's actually quite good at it, albeit very Aspergic about it, everything has to be done in equal lines and to perfection...he couldn't stop until symetry was achieved!
That made me laugh.
DD had a bf for four years who was very dyslexic (could not read fiction/packaging) and very very bright. Maths at Oxford, great mechanic - built himself a car, great fine motor skills.
I asked him to rough ice the Christmas cake. Explaining we wanted a snowy peak effect, made by pushing the back of a spoon into the icing.
His finished item had peaks in perfect close concentric circles radiating out from the centre of the cake. All peaks bending outward and of a regular size.
It was astonishing in its perfection and hard to believe it was done by hand and sight in relatively quick time.
He does something actuarial 'in the city' now, happily married. Not sure how DD feels ( would not ask, she would not tell) but OH and I still miss him (not just for his cake icing skills). For much of the four years we felt we had 'adopted him'.0 -

We have an Italian car (Fiat. That's Italian, innit?) and it never breaks down. It did refuse to start at Easter, but then it hadn't moved an inch since New Year's Day, so that wasn't really its fault. Other than that, it always works, never needs money spending on it, and is now 17 years old. I got it for my sister's 21st birthday, and it was 4 years old then. Only done 65,000 miles ever, though!
.
I had one about thirty years ago when I lived in Nikksterville. It wouldn't start if there was a cloud in the sky. It wasn't small but definitely wasn't spacious. Built like a tank, handled like a steamroller. It taught me that inanimate metal could be as capricious and unpredictable as a temperamental pet, but without any cute redeeming features.
Anyhoo you can se how I'd never get a job in the FIAT adwriteing department.

Church bell is tolling. A wedding I presume.
I need to go out, but my levels are too high. Have been ropey all day. After posting for a while this morning (my only activity) I felt I would give in and 'sleep off' the drowsiness.
Now up, showered again, made a pot of coffee with caffiene in, wandered up and down the garden on various pottering missions and my levels are still way too high for me to go out. I ate scrambled eggs and bread for breakfast and that is it, as I was trying to ensure I kick started everything.
If it carries on I am going to walk laps of adjoining fields to try and burn it off. Will need to tell someone as should I fall over I will never be found as the grass is so long0 -

I don't have spirits number near me, but its not like her to stop mid thought.
Am OK. It took me ages to post and I pressed post before the end. I am a bit muddled, hence no driving.
Actually no walking in fields either...not sensible on reflection.0 -
