I've pinched a little pastry off the side and dipped it into the lemon curd-slick that has resulted from my dodgy patisserie. Not bad actually. It's very tart though.
I'll get there.0 -

I am a cheap date. No milk or sugar required.
We will be sitting there chatting, swapping recipes, fashion tips, family saga's, social observations. It will be like the NP thread only with more refreshments.
The other difference is that you won't be talking of an ongoing life of restrictions through lack of access to your belongings, one room living, landlords. Your rubbish won't be in the room with us and you can smoke in there if you want to or go out and sit in your own garden if you choose. Depending on how soon my invitation is..we might have a choice of sitting room sofa or chair/window seat in the kitchen.
I can't wait. Really looking forward to it. I will bring a cake.0 -

As pastures suggested (brilliant idea if I may say so) if it needs redeeming, could you add broken meringue and mix it up to make a 'mess' a la Eton mess. This would also sweeten it.0 -

I am filthy (not like that, michaels
). I've spent the last hour crawling around on the garage floor in the latest episode of Nikkster versus something heavy and stuck together.
My table is now in it's new home though

I think it might be a little big for the room (I think it will comfortably sit 6), though the room will feel bigger when it's not being used for storing things I've not dealt with yet.
Turns out that as well as being screwed in place, the table top was also glued to the base. Not sure how well it'll fix back together but I'll deal with that somehow.0 -

Pn, tescos are doing a lot of beach theme interior stuff now. Some is really lovely. I'm tempted by a big vase, but there are more practical things that would appeal to you, things that work well with white. There is a nice picture of a white room with a beach feel, some neutral and navy accessories. Would look more beautiful with accents of beach glass IMO.

I know this because was flicking through the magazine in the hospital where I went after last posting this morning. I had an adverse reaction to the pills I started on Wednesday. But as they are otherwise I think suiting me and they are only for two weeks its been agreed I'll stay on them, add something else to the mix but go to the big hospital a and e if it gets worse.
So if I disappear for the weekend I'm fine, everything is under control and I'm having all my internal scans next week anyway so if its anything worse than a bit of a hiccup it will get spotted then. I'm mainly saying because I've been moaning and if I drop out of contact I don't want anyone to think things are terrible when they are ok,
( I think the pills are actually helping , so that's why I want to finish the short course)0 -
Nikkster, it looks fab.0

Pastures...
Re the conservatory. Could you achieve the same effect by buying a cheap summerhouse and an awning for the back of the house for less than £1k; plus get a local joiner to do built in cupboards for the same sort of price... ie half on each rather than £2k on one? You could then still have money left over for the en suite.
Something like this and a bit of sand and a pond and you can pretend you've got a beach hut (if you squint or close your eyes):
