You can make a lot of money begging... certainly, more than minimum wage.

Apologies tomterm... My other MOOC is about rock music. So later in the week my focus will move to that. I'm not sure whether that is good or bad news for anyone who has to put up with my inane banter.

    No worries... only kidding.

Pastures, Saga offer reasonably priced home and contents cover and when the people here needed their help (we had a flood due to a burst main) they were one of the better firms to deal with.
I'm going to be asking them as they've got my contents/car at the moment.

I don't know... it's a better excuse than asking for the bus fare!

Buildings insurance price sounds good, contents is about 5x what we pay for 30k of contents.
When I said £125, that was including buildings, making contents about £65/year .... so is yours £13/year? If so ... who with?

There is a minimum level of cover - so having fewer belongings doesn't decrease the amount. It's a daftly high amount of about £30k for mine too.... even if I only actually own a folding chair and a kettle.....

Just received my first ever "annual gas summary" from BG. Didn't know they sent those out.

I used 1692kWh. If I use that in the next 12 months it'll cost £178 on my current tariff.
I could save £5 by going onto DD and £14 if I went onto their May fixed price.

Going to look at changing when I've moved, not now.

Edit: Actually, this figure doesn't match with my memory ..... I'm sure the bills weren't for half that - and I know the meter matched the bills. CBA to dig them out though. I guess it must be right though.... memory said I used/paid much less.

Really looking forward to getting all my paperwork organised in the new house .... space to keep things in order, organised and filed and available.

Being organised only works until the next agent inspection - then you grab all your stuff/boxes etc and shove them in a cupboard.... and start again. Stuff ends up all over the place.

That's ok... people on here manage quite well with my strange tastes. Particularly when it comes to Eurovision.

Do any of the NP use google calendars and sync to a phone? I am considering switching and have some questions to ask.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

No. I don't use my phone for much really .... don't see the point of having a calendar on it as I don't do enough to forget anything :)
