Coley is highly thought of these days, but when I was growing up it was the frozen fish of choice for the moggy (i.e. it was cheaper than the frozen cod portions!).0

My record of fish isn't that great though. I am not very fond of fish everyone else likes and pays a lot for , such as tuna or monkfish..
I have tuna for tomorrow night.
I may make salad nicoise with fresh griddled tuna and anchovies.
although Gen's salsa sounds good..may be too much pfaf/waste for only me though.0 -

I make it with fresh tuna often too. Doesn't mean I like it more.
I am a huge fan of those little marinated anchovies, And ones in oil actually. I love anchovies. I don't like them packed in salt though.0 -
My only experience of fish has been fish fingers, fishcakes, some frozen/boil in the bag white fish in sauce, a few bits of battered cod at a chippy, tinned tuna ... and that's about it.
I couldn't eat fish that had head/eyes/skin ....0 -

In the UK, the phone voting went 1) Polish women with big boobs, 2) Netherlands, 3) Conchita. Because the Polish women were scored about last by the jury, Poland scored no points from the UK, even though more people voted for it than any other song.
In Russia, the phone voting went 1) Armenia, 2) Belarus, 3) Austria. This proves that bearded women have the same popularity in Russia as they do in the UK, but Polish boobs are less popular. Be afraid Putin, very afraid. Your people are far more tolerant and open minded than you and your friends would have us believe.
Polish boobs also won the popular vote in Ireland and Norway and one other country (can't remember which). The most popular votes were won by Netherlands, not Austria. It's also surprising how little neighbour voting happened this year.
I think the Polish popular vote relates to the number of Polish immigrants spread thru Europe (especially UK, Ireland and Sweden), in Spain it is Romanians and in Germany, The Turks (when they qualify). I think immigrants are more likely to vote for their home country in these pointless contests. Almost a census of who moved where.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

Skin is easy to remove ( I am not a skin person, DH is). Its bones that unsettle me.. If DH isn't home I do usually as fishmongers to prepare fish for me. We have an excellent fish monger, but its not in our nearest towns and not cheap.
