Reading in Sunday Times that everyone should learn coding. Am I too old?
Nobody's too old to learn. If I'm correct about your age, you've not yet reached your cognitive peak.;)
On another matter, Gen, does Aussie TV show Game of Thrones, and all the big US TV series like The Americans, 24, MadMen etc.?There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Yes it is. Also, slightly strangely, we are to believe that almost nobody in Medieval Europe grew hair from anywhere below their neck.
Never mind giants and dwarves, judging by the body count, including stillbirths, I'm amazed that there's anybody in that era who's managed to reach old age.:eek:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Yup, mostly on Foxtel (Sky).
Annoyingly, those big shows are usually first shown on a channel which requires an extra fee, over and above the Foxtel fee. If you're happy to wait a few months, which I am, you get them on one of the channels covered by your basic Foxtel fee.
We started watching Game of Thrones a couple of months ago as a channel had a GoT weekend, showing all the episodes of the first 2 series in a couple of days.
I recorded House of Cards in a similar way: a tiny channel showed all of the episodes one Saturday and I just happened to notice.
TBH I'm not much of a TV watcher. I'd rather be cooking. I do watch sports and the odd series like this. Usually I watch them mostly to spend time with Mrs Generali. She loves a bit of TV does Mrs Generali.
Elementary is the other thing we watch quite a bit of. I enjoy that because, unlike most of those US shows, it's not just exactly the same program every week only with different supporting characters. They seem to try to mix it up a bit.0 -

Either razor technology was far better than previously believed or nobody in the show has hit puberty! The latter would make sense given the death rate.0 -
Do the Russians notice? Do they care?
In Russian government eyes, did Conchita Wurst, drag queen win Eurovision or some guy named Tom with a dodgy beard?
It's interesting... being a bit of a Eurovision nerd I've been looking at the breakdown of the popular vote.
In the UK, the phone voting went 1) Polish women with big boobs, 2) Netherlands, 3) Conchita. Because the Polish women were scored about last by the jury, Poland scored no points from the UK, even though more people voted for it than any other song.
In Russia, the phone voting went 1) Armenia, 2) Belarus, 3) Austria. This proves that bearded women have the same popularity in Russia as they do in the UK, but Polish boobs are less popular. Be afraid Putin, very afraid. Your people are far more tolerant and open minded than you and your friends would have us believe.
Polish boobs also won the popular vote in Ireland and Norway and one other country (can't remember which). The most popular votes were won by Netherlands, not Austria. It's also surprising how little neighbour voting happened this year. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I love Elementary! Great show. Doesn't get the figures that it deserves over here due to the huge following for Sherlock. I think he plays Sherlock Holmes well, the characters are interesting and you generally can't guess the ending. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Cheers, just checking them out online.... £6-10 for one cushion.... so they go on the "Nice to know they exist" list, awaiting a "70% off" sale before they come into madam's price bracket

I need to be richer really ..... Big list of stuff, ideas - but without the budget to [a] afford them think they're worth the price.0 -
