Just back from walking the duppy. We were out for 40 minutes, I walked about a mile and a half, he went much further. He ate his breakfast this morning as after a false start when he refused it, I made sure he saw me bury a mini bonio at the bottom of the dish.

The day ahead is to be filled with small chores and sleep I think. DD was going to a Eurovision party that a gay friend hosts. She has cried off though as an ex is attending..not the ex who she is great pals with but a guy she dated for some months. I am disappointed in her as I dislike avoidant behaviour.

You should go and take her with you. You're badass. :D

I've had 3 employers: accountancy firm (4 years), civil service (3) and quango (6 so far). I expect another 2-3 years where I am before getting a nothing job with a ludicrously important title at a bank.

My brother in law had one of those at Lloyds. I'm trying to remember what it was. It didn't seem to relate to anything.

Maybe something like Head of Commercial Partnership. He had that until two months after the HBOS takeover when it didn't exist anymore. I'm sure it exists again now.

I'm in Malvern. Not at the show, although I'd like to be. I love this town. It's like the land that time forgot.

County rugby trials for DS for next year. He's working hard and smiling, so I'm happy. If doozer were here, he'd be biting his fingers, cringing and possibly clapping. I feel a lot less anxious without him. It's all down to the little man, not us. Just feels like a nice day watching the boy doing something he loves.

I'm hoping for something like director of forensic investigation and regulatory engagement EMEA, which translates roughly into "bloke who reads some emails and forwards them to the regulator".

I'd never meet "people like you lot" in real life.

You say that is if "us lot" are one sort of people and you another. Whereas we are all quite diverse eg I have never met people who keep animals (other than domestic pets) or produce off the land (other than the odd vegetable or herb).

I am not skilled enough to answer this in the way I'd wish to..... lack of verbal diversity/eloquence to communicate what I mean.

But I meant "well off bugg4hs" who have posh jobs/posh job titles and do posh things. I don't even understand what any of chewmylegoff's made-up-future-job title could possibly even mean.
It's like the emperor's new clothes - they rely on people thinking it sounds important and not questioning it. If anyone did question it they might find out that it meant "drink lots of coffee, make paper aeroplanes, talk on the phone and do online shopping". All for obscene amounts of money.

That is a fabulous feeling isn't? Quite primal. As if your genes are celebrating their success. Enjoy it , savour it and hoard a little to recall on a day when the little man is annoying you.:)

I have only visited Malvern once, when we had our VW campervan we went to campervan festival there. From what I can remember, it was hilly with lovely views.

I read that through several times looking for a rude acronym. I am disappointed.

I felt sure there was going to Director of Fork All in there somewhere.

That will be the BadAss in me. I have not yet urban dictionaried that as I am of a somewhat nervous disposition and easily shocked.

That's the whole point of banking job titles and the jargon used in that industry. It's to confuse other people to make them think that bankers are really intelligent when in fact all they really do is sit at a computer tapping away at a key board like pretty much everyone else.

At UBS even the admin staff are called directors!

Just had phone call with OH. His travel arrangements meant he was 36 hours without sleep then at a formal dinner last night.

The dinner had every possibility of being a challenge. It was originally planned to be held in a "knocking shop" however it was moved and held in a winery, the wine and bubbles were unlimited. As was the vodka:eek:

He drank very little but assured me that all other guests will believe they had the time of their lives.
