At least your face should be blurred out, right? Though if you know someone it's still very easy to recognise them (some people from my last place of work were captured sitting outside the nearest pub )0 -

If I've found the right one, a lot of the symptoms sound similar. And treatment can work really well. Though I guess you have a fair number of symptoms so can take your pick for many diagnoses.
I hope you get this latest thing confirmed or denied asap, lir. Whilst it doesn't change anything at least it would hopefully mean you can start being treated sooner.
I wish I was closer to you, I really want to give you a very big hug x
Edit: and btw the couple of times I've met you I've thought you very beautiful0 -

Um... greetings from not so sunny copenhagen. Graham Norton flew out on same plane as us, what a nice man! Welcome to the thread Miroslav. Apologies, a bit otherwise occupied at the moment.
I like Elijah too. Not so keen on Aaron (will delete:). I think I've always pronounced it wrong too (a-ron).
Hope you and Dr. Tifosi have a fab time. I'm still secretly hoping I'll be back in time to see at least some of it. But I'll probably get distracted by the offer of a drink or 2 after tomorrow's main activity :beer:0 -
I swear I tried to quote 4 people, but it's quoted 3....sorry if I ever miss anyone out, it's really not intentional!
I always forget to multi-quote (see above!)I will ask then.
A bit confused this morning as the nurse said I was being tested for Thyroid Antibodies (googling now) - is Graves Disease an antibody?
My (very uneductated) guess is that Graves is an auto-immune disease (your immune system starts attacking your own cells for some very non-understood reason). Antibodies are just one of the weapons of the immune system, and they can look for them in blood. Seeing as you've mentioned thyroid, I'd guess they'd look for antibodies directed against the thyroid gland/ things it produces.
Hope that makes some kind of sense, and more importantly that things go well for you.0 -

Ditto to this.
LIR is very beautiful and most deserving of very big hugs. Waiting is frustrating, how !!!! it is for a few people here right now. It would be nice just to know and sort out treatment.
I think you're here for a long while yet, lir.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I'm on Talkmobile which I thought was the best PAYG at 8p per min, 4p per text and 25p per day reasonable internet.
I'd be tempted to try 3-2-1 but have heard that coverage is patchy and support's, well, not very supportive. Keen to hear if that's right or wrong.
Hate the idea of contracts (but I know someone on anothert thread who's on a £1 per month contract I nearly got but have sadly missed).:(
I think coverage by the different phone providers is very variable. I've been OK with it where I am - can you ask around colleagues or friends to see whether any of them have that provider?
I'm giving the 3-2-1 SIM a try out in my new phone for a couple of months so I can test the coverage and also my levels of usage. I've retained my existing SIM in my old phone, which still works as that's on a Virgin PAYG tariff.
After a couple of months I'll either port my old Virgin number across to the 3 tariff if that's better for my levels of usage, or discard the 3 SIM and take out a monthly contract with Virgin or talkmobile (about £7 per month if memory serves right).
If you do go for a 3 SIM, just buy the SIM in a shop (about 99p in Tesco, I think), and top it up online - I believe you get a free data allowance to be used within 30 days as well as the credit.0 -
I have no idea what all of this amounts to however your earlier post increased the disquiet I feel. Heavens knows what it must do for you.
No one knows yet. Please don't worry. Nothing is different today than was yesterday, last month, or last year. Just new avenues to explore.
You have seen, I get about just fine.
I do not intend for anything to change, I just want to be as best armed to that end as possible.
I am very cross about some things, but that's nothing new either.

Oh, me too, totally. The outcomes even if it is this are very different now, if diagnosed and treated.
.
Anyway, in light of advice today to stay rested and not over exerted and relaxed, DH and I have moved four and a half tonnes of topsoil tonight, in the dark.
