That's a long way to go to a dentist, especially as they'll probably just prod your teeth and set up another appointment to do whatever work is needed.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

You should exchange now so you know the deal is done.
Be prepared to negotiate on the completion date, press for earlier completion and let someone else live in a hotel for a fortnight.
Sounds perfect in an ideal world, however I wouldn't agree to something like this with our current circumstances.
Our next move is probably going to be out of the UK, and that's going to be a case of waiting until were ready, rather than when the buyer wants.💙💛 💔0 -

Similar happened to me - I was chasing for weeks, then out of the blue of course the other side decided it was time to get moving when I was out of the country for a couple of days. Switched my phone back on to get a number of voicemails from the solicitor and estate agent suggesting we could exchange and complete within a couple of days (...er nope, I don't think so!). We exchanged 5 days later (weekend in the way) and completed 7 days after that.
I was very keen to at least exchange, so that it was much less likely that the transaction wouldn't go through...0 -
Miroslav I a sorry to hear of your loss, when you have 'lived a bit' it can make you more understanding of others.
Are you able to say what bad news you have had? We are good at listening.
NP listen to me a lot.
Edit: Glad you have 'said' what it is and hope all becomes manageable.
Yes, I think you just become more tolerant, although tolerance is often tested!
I'm a fighter - I hope the medication will work.lostinrates wrote: »Ah, been to both but not for endocrinology, (thinks...yeah, pretty sure).
For other nice peeps mugs grove is where I was asked if DH was beating me.
I go north most often now, but am heading south ( through the Glovers town) for next appt.
Miroslav, the np help me a lot. On good days and less great ones. This group of people have supported each other a fair bit. You'll get a kind ear here, and soon feel you know all of us
Sorry to hear of your issues regarding DH (whether the questions were answered with yes or no).
Coming through The Glovers Town eh. Yeah, I wouldn't want to stay through choice either :rotfl:
I'm very down to earth and like to joke around as it's who I am. I may not post every day as I try not to go on PC for long on most days, especially in the summer!lemonjelly wrote: »There's software that reads the screen to you that's pretty good nowadays. I hope it doesn't come to it, but if it does, that will surely help.
I know a visually impaired lady - not sure it's my place to ask such questions just yet.0 -

Seller has made an offer to get done & dusted in the next week (see update over there).
Tentatively hoping that in 2.5 weeks I won't be bothering everyone with silly questions about buying somewhere & will have progressed to silly questions about what to do whilst moving in!It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

If you're friends/friendly, & discussed it in a reasonable way, I'm fairly sure they'd be happy to discuss it with you.
I guess a lot of that depends on your relationship though. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I stumbled across this thread a couple of years ago from the music threads in the Arms and found this a welcoming place.
I never thought of having a sig. I only got an avatar about a year ago when I somehow switched on avatars and saw almost everybody else had one. I based my first one (a black swan) on a Thom York song.
I dislike most music that starts with an r like reggae, rock or rap. So I oought not to like this, but oddly I do.
I think I have things turned off too, for some reason.
Ha! That is a strange video/song.Doozergirl wrote: »No pun. It's a poignant phrase for me. Everything we think might be in heaven, is here already. We can't imagine something that doesn't already exist. The feelings that we think might access there, whether we believe in it or not, are already accessible to us. It's not unobtainable in this life.
We can choose our feelings because they live inside us already, not outside. It's hard to remember to choose, sometimes
Sorry, I meant the word already being spelt alread...
I think I agree with you.
I'm choosing to be upbeat at the moment and just get on with things.....the worst may not happen.Doozergirl wrote: »I saw three members of Bucks Fizz singing 'Making Your Mind Up' on the One Show yesterday. It was like a different song. Ear splitting!

Miroslav.....just one thing.....I don't know if its convenient for you, but Dorchester might be worth considering? One of my parents had a thyroidectomy under the care of an amazing physician and a fantastic surgeon. If Yeovil is a consideration then I thought I'd throw it out there as an option as well.0 -

Oh - just found Oxford Circus ..... which sounds like Oxford Street, which might be the West End? commutefrom says 12 mins then change and 3 mins. With trains every 8 minutes.
Tfl.gov.uk journey planner reckons 40 mins from that post code to Oxford street. Camberwell is also pretty much the joint worst part of London as well. I wouldn't walk through it in day light.0
