And of course there is always the dogging....

As long as the kit hen ends at the corner rather than carrying round it then the space is accessible. I think k on needs the larder units that have the pull out wire shelves so rather than opening the door you pull it out and can then see and reach everything.

I hATE those wire units. I find them impractical, not very easy to see stuff in, heavy and just.....wrong. I am so glad I don't live with one any more.

That's why kitchens should suit the owners, different things suit different people :)

I've been lucky that many peeps seem to be offering help lugging stuff around.
Of course, that may change closer to the day/when they see how much stuff there is!
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

That's the trouble with most small kitchens - they go round the corner so you end up with a minimum of 2 "dead corners".... and sometimes not much else! I've seen some really bizarre designs too .... there was one in the past couple of days that I didn't comment on, where a right hand drainer went to the wall and a cupboard was on the return wall above the drainer - so you'd have no space to use the drainer (it was particularly low too).

There are some tiny kitchens out there.... nowhere to roll your pastry or knead your bread!

I need a man/van. To move in here took one man under 2 hours to load it up from a storage unit, bring it over and offload it all.

I've since acquired more goods, the sofa was particularly tricky to get in, so I am over-estimating it'll take 2 men and one transit van 3 hours tops.

I've seen pictures and thought they're not really usable once you've got your stuff in them.

I always fancied pan drawers ..... for everything. No cupboards, no drawers..... just 2-3 stretches of pan drawers.

I think, if you don't mind me going for one upmanship, meeting a man you've never spoken to in any format, in a layby, is definitely odd.

    I do like odd.:D

That sounds like the start of a story which ends up a fortnight later with a body found in a wood by someone walking his dog!

Mrs Generali got dumped by a boyfriend as a teen for changing her own tyre! Apparently she should have called him out :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Useful early sign she should get shot quickly, I'd have thought.

I'm far from the expertise of Bugs, Mrs Gen et al, but I'd have thought everyone should know how to check the oil and vinegar in a car, and change a tyre.

Mr Bugs always liked independent women. Last time I had a flat tyre outside of the house, his idea of helping was bringing the trolley jack down from the garage for me......;)

That is helpful! Saved you fetching it yourself.

I am still slightly confused as to what to say when asked how I know doozerboy or doozergirl.
Felt a bit odd saying to the electrician "we met online". Sounds odd saying such things of a married lady.:o

"Recommended by a friend".... and leave it at that.

I don't know where the West End is ..... I tried using commutefrom.com but they don't have the West End as a destination on the drop downs.

    Postcode is SE5 7PQ

Oh - just found Oxford Circus ..... which sounds like Oxford Street, which might be the West End? commutefrom says 12 mins then change and 3 mins. With trains every 8 minutes.
