Vibing away here in Liverpool. ;) Thinking of you and hoping you will have the best news possible. If you can take cyber hugs from a pensioner on the other side of the world I'm sending them. Hugs. :)

A quick pit stop to say that Dan Ariely is not self-published. He's with Harper Collins.

In that case he's unlikely to make any money on the deal. Odds are, even if his advance earns out, the royalty on that amount of sales will be a blip in the ocean.

Mr Spirit built me a new raised bed in my veg patch today. It is made out of rough cut timber 4" thick, about 10" deep and 4' by 8'. Cost £70. I think it will be the pattern for future beds.

He has filled it with compost and the chickens have been in and leveled it out. It needs to settle and we will top it up next week. It looks very "proper" and I think I am going to grow salad crops in it.

Next steps is to make it chicken proof (again) and ban the bunnies from being released in there to play.

Whilst he was doing that I have slept most of the day. It is a year since we lost our friend and her husband and family and other friends came last night for supper. We had a lovely evening, toasted their newest grandchild who is just 6 weeks old and came too . It didn't feel like hard work to prepare however I got to bed at 1am, only got up at 1.45 pm and then slept again from 4pm until 6pm.

Back to work tomorrow after 12 days off and I am more tired now than I was when I went off. Hoping it is just the late night that did it as I am already prescribed iron. Really need to find a burst of oomph from somewhere, I have an 8am meeting tomorrow morning with a board director and need to be a lot more switched on than I am.
