Nope. Not my cup of Toohey's New.

Nothing personal, I'd rather have him in charge than President Rudd or Princess Julia. I've just got better things to do with my time.

The Girl was quite taken with the idea of a real Princess in Australia.

There is an actual Aussie Princess. She met Prince Someone III of Denmark in a pub in Sydney.

....why has he got 2 medals ?

He's done active service so I suppose might have won them for fishing someone out of the North Sea or something like that. Perhaps they set the bar lower for Royals to get medals. You or I have to seize Paris in the face of thousands of enemy machine gunners.

....we can embarrass them by trying out the beds. :D
I doubt there's much that can be done to embarrass me in public in an Ikea .... I'm often the most embarrassing one around, so it'll be nice to see other loons operating.

No worms, no sweat, no mucky mud..... best type of gardening.
It's like the way I love looking at photos of food, then eating toast.

When I linked to doors, they were "regular/normal people doors" and cost about £700 each. I thought doors were doors .... but then you've linked to some that look lovely (or is it just that it's posh paint?) .... and yours don't have prices. I bet they're top end.

I think you can also get medals for long service and being good at stuff like shooting and flying, so it may be something like that.

    Wow, just wow.

If you were trying to sell a 4 bed flat for 1.25 million, do you think you'd try to have photos which didn't include only a week's worth of dirty washing, an unmade bed and a filthy anorak?

It's great that it doesn't need any major refurbishment. Once you've spent your £1.25 million, you can close the door and relax

My mum had that fridge freezer from 1982-2003!

Did they salvage the sink in the loo from a MacDonalds?

    Could they have been faggots?
No, definitely meatballs .... but made by a hefty wife for a towering and hungry manual working 6'5" husband.

    Proper grub.

Oooh I could eat one now .... with shredded cabbage/greens, carrots, dollops of mash and lashings of onion gravy ....

In the first year juniors, a boy called Christopher called me a faggot. My teacher explained this type of faggot to me. I wasn't entirely convinced that was what he meant when he spoke in rather different tone to comparing me with his dinner.

The sad thing with that is that's probably what his dad called him, just before he slapped him hard, every day when he went home from school.

Interesting stuff! Or I think it is anyway.

Nah she wants to do Corporate. I'm not sure why really, I'm not sure she'd be suited to it, and she's not getting very far with job applications.

Masomnia, fir had a terrible time with applications too. It can be awful, hunting the TC.

If she is looking international corporate they increasingly recruit on the back of vacation schemes. Is she applying to those?

If I was to buy a new door it would be a composite. I had one in my old house and door here isn't a patch on it. So much warmer and less draughty.
