So, my update for the day.
If anyone is wondering if you can fit a 210 L water butt into a Mini, the answer is yes you can! (phew).
In honour of St. George's Day, dinner tonight chez Nikkster is curry. Sadly not Chicken Tikka Masala, but curry all the same.0 -

I'm sure I've mentioned before?
I bought my mum's car from her just before I moved over here. It's my first car, she's called Miniver0 -
I once got 2 bags of shopping in our mini but never a 210L water butt.
I'm home, thank god. I feel like a used ash tray.0 -

Thank you. It is pretty ropey to be honest. I have a doctor's appointment first thing tomorrow so hopefully I'll know more then. Perversely I want him to think it is really serious because this is the third time it has happened and I don't want to be fobbed off with some ineffectual physio again.0 -

I had one of the old minis. Loved it. Owned it for a few years, trashed it. I haven't had one of the new ones though. It was the car I owned when I first left home. It signified my independence. It was blue. My friends had white and red ones. So we'd go out and park them outside the pub like the Italian job. Naff, but happy days.
From experience, I will tell you that you can get a mattress in a mini too, but only if you do the whole journey in 2nd gear. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I'm hoping not to have to try.
Was thinking of putting the downstairs double divan + mattress on freecycle (it isn't great, but help someone temporarily), but on Sunday when I moved it for the first time I found that the drawer that had been hidden was broken. So I think it's just going to have to go to the tip.
Looking at the local council website they will collect up to 5 items of bulky waste for a fixed fee. I'm hoping they'll take a large piece of chipboard (such as may have been used to block off a door), a crappy old bed and a rusty old swing frame. The only problem is that I'm not sure how to get the swing frame to the front of the house (all of the bolts are rusted on)...0
