So... about this cat.
Vet suggested a soft tissue injury and provided a week's supply of anti-inflammatory drugs.
Postie suggested demonic possession (there was an incident).
I am now watching the Exorcist, for research purposes. The cat is asleep on the sofa next to me, all quiet and docile, except for her head spinning round and round occasionally.

Poor puss.
Blin have you tried easing her with some of the smelling stuff.....cannot think what its called. The pheromone happy plug in?
One of ours responds well to it, and if she has a physical ailment that's nothing her so,e help feeling 'content' might help her relax to heal?
Feliway, that's the stuff.0 -
We're going into new bathroom again tonight. I still feel like its a foreign country and am using grotty one all week alone. I think I have just got used to the grot.
Found another couple of trees lurking about in pots waiting to be planted.. I think we might have to get the digger guy to do holes. Each hole has taken hours to clear out with baling twine and other junk.
We all forgot I'm not meant to drink and I had quarter of a glass of white wine before I noticed. Thank god it was a good bottle and worth it..

I haven't, but that's a good idea, and probably a bit cheaper than an exorcist. Will get onto it. Thank you.0 -

There's no harm in trying both? I'm sure a friendly priest would do the exorcism for nothing.

I'd happily work in a little shop again. Lots of giggles and regular customers.

Happy Easter.
That was an extremely horrific movie (and book) in its day. I recall there was a rumour/ urban myth that the people left a bible on top of the book when they slept at night! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
PasturesNew wrote: »Welcome to home ownership.... just as you've spent the month's money the unexpected happens.
When I lived in an old house I figured £100/month needed to be set aside for all the irritations that occurred.... but my place was crumbling... but the house had 1001 ways to require cash.
There are tiles off the roof in winter, exterior decorating every 4-5 years, shabby bits that require replacing, water leaks, unexpected blockages .... the list can be endless.
Well it could be worse - I've not touched this months pay yet :A And at least I have my slush fund.
The first time I went into the garage (after I'd bought...) I knew that the garage door wasn't right. Had mentally put it on the list of things to do but not really looked at what was the matter. Turns out the cable has a big rusty patch and I'm guessing that is why that side of the door was stiff to open and is where the cable has now snapped.
I've at least managed to shut the door again (didn't want any small animals making their home in there...) and it's not like I keep my car in there so it's not super urgent. Hopefully it'll be ok with a new cable (though it doesn't look like it was fitted all that well).
I took my momentary frustration out on the garden. Boy oh boy are there a lot of weeds. There was a lovely teracotta pot that I finally hacked my way to today - unfortunately it started crumbling as soon as I tried to move it.
Meh.
I peeked into the compost bins too - and couldn't see anything wriggling around in there (which is what I was dreading)0 -

Step 2 is Get Connected to Access the Power of the Holy Spirit.
After reading that, I'd happily settle for a possessed cat over an exorcist.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
