My mother irons all sorts of things that no-one else in the family thinks require it, such as duvet covers, socks, tea towels, baby clothes, etc. But then, she doesn't criticise the large number of pointless, half-baked ideas the rest of us have, much, so we tolerate her foibles too!
He is amazing, I am really, really proud of him....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Congrats to your OH from me too
Hope he doesn't suffer after sitting on a flight so soon after finishing!
Enjoy your next few days of quiet and time with your mama.0 -
I will - she's fun and interesting, but also restful company. A rare combination, I think....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Had a great view of the ISS tonight (sorry Pastures). Followed the comments of everyone here, went out, saw it rise from the west, travel what seemed directly overhead and then 'set' in the east. Fantastic. As it headed west it looked as though it had a central point and two 'fins' from the sides. Did anyone else see the same?
Thanks for the recommendation! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

You don't need to drive anywhere. If you can see stars in the sky with the naked eye you'll be able to see it on the grounds that it is the third brightest object in the night sky. It's like a star, but one that moves quickly.
The next really good viewing where it goes almost overhead will be tomorrow or Tuesday. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? PasturesNew wrote: »No I can't, there are big trees outside.... so there's no sweep of the sky. That's the trouble with "posh areas" - big/too many trees
The trees are where it might be - so then I'd need to go into the street ... and there are more trees in the way.
If you pick a time when it goes more or less overhead, like the next two evenings, you'll be able to see it no matter how high the trees as it seems practically overhead at its highest point. You'd have to live in a forest not to see it, though you wouldn't see it sweep across the sky. Then from that you can gauge whether it's worth investing the time and effort to see more. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
