Re puff, I can make it, its not hard. The reason to make it for me is an ethical one: I prefer to buy things make with animal products sourced from ethical practise farming. I agree that most of the time the difference over home made is not balanced but the effort of making, unlike some other things. However, I'm far from perfect, ATM I have I think four packets of pre made all butter puff in the freezer. :(. Some tarts are such fall backs that it makes sense to have some thig. To hand for rough days,

Today is a rough day, I might have stupidly messed up the piddling in the bottle thing, will call lab in the morning. For various boring reasons I think I might have to for the first time admit physical defeat over this test that should be perfectly possible for anyone to do at home. I have been really boringly unwell today, and so DH has been playing with blood pressure thing, and what d'ya know, its true, it does shoot up.

Feeling stupid and sorry for myself. :(

    Oh that sounds interesting.

    What is on the list?

    chicken soup

    chopped liver

roast beef (if it works, bit hit and miss)

    veg...to be decided

    apple torte

    ice sorbet

That's all for tomorrow night as part of the passover meal. Preceded by hard boiled eggs in salt water - a tradition. Accompanied by 4 glasses of wine (but sickly sweet red wine as opposed to decent stuff).

Similar the following night, but substitute roast chicken for the beef; hopefully different veg.

Considering that this festival is meant to commemorate the Israelites leaving Egypt in a rush (so rushed they didn't have time for the bread to rise - so no bread products on the menu), how come it is taking me all day in the kitchen to prepare???

I think I'm just too weak to squat :o.

Its a rough day, I'd be fine on a another day, ( but who knows when) but of course, each time I am wearing myself out more. :rotfl: I'm giving up 'staying up' and just about to have a bath and go to bed now. I'm going to call the lab tomorrow and DH is going to speak to the consultant. The problem is he is ( brilliantly) driving things in a way we're unfamiliar with which I think is both fantastic but also a bit unnerving because I am worried he'll be a little 'put out' that I have messed up today and I know he is moving mountains to do stuff for me so I feel especially bad I have failed at something so simple :o.

Miserable on such a beautiful day with fir home, but I am just too beat to go on. I have been stuck on my arm chair in the kitchen for an hour and a half. To think of NDB's achievement is overwhelming. I'm not sure I could make it to the end of the garden right now! We did go out in the car earlier with non res parent to look at the outside of a house but I was too unwell and went a funny colour and DH decided we'd turn back.

I haven't so much as left pre prepped food for them or anything. :D. DH is putting the flame thrower in the barn then helping me upstairs. Its so weird how one can get so weak so quickly. I did do some pottering on the garden this morning, and while I felt ' not great' I felt nothing like this.

Res parent is home this week, and DH is of course, only at work for a short week. I'll probably be skipping again by Tuesday anyway:)

It'd need to be a text. I don't check emails regularly - and when I log onto email it's to look for specific emails .... e.g. from siblings re mother, or estate agents/lettings re houses

Also, if I read the email, by the time it was overhead I'd have forgotten :)

I looked up Southampton, (don't know where you are, but think you sort of South West?) here's tonight's viewing

(Edit: oops was convinced it was Saturday - confusion reigns!)

    Here's tonight's (Sunday!) times:

    Sorry for confusion! :o

They do text alerts too, but no experience of that, so not sure how it works.

Re damp - I've read that if you get the really cheap (Lidl/Aldi) cat litter and pour it in a tray in the middle of each caravan room it can help with damp while it's shut up for winter.

Thanks for that from OH - he thinks it's well worth trying. Currently we use bowls of salt, they were all liquid when we arrived!

4.5 hours. My clever darling, I'm so proud of him!

    Well done NDB.

Justifiable pride and a celebration. Hope he enjoys the lamb kebabs.
