I could give you an address, but I don't have a letterbox/front door here for the postman to knock .... so I try to discourage 'deliveries'. There is a metal postbox on the wall that I check twice a week usually - big enough, just, to take a C4 envelope.... or very small packages.

So, is it small enough? Or do you want to hang onto it until I invite you over to see my new place?

I have googled C4 and it says 9 x 12.8 inches. That will be big enough.:)

Also, will be delighted to make the trip when you are in. An extra 8 miles, pah, cheaper than a ferry to the IOW.

Which way round, though? Him ignoring having us there at the finish for me, or me ignoring standing around being there for him?

I will. He's going to bed now, having finished mooching about aimlessly (and having finished packing, too).

My top tip. Go to bed now too, and and smooch about aimlessly with him.

...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

    Don't bank on it.

OH was happy. Could have only been happier if it had been patterned with blokes with tennis rackets, guns and dogs.

Some site I have forgotten ever using, emails to say they are resetting all passwords as a precaution. That's fine.

Then it goes on to say I should change any identical password I have used elsewhere. Grrr! I have about 4 passwords in circulation an easy one, a variation on the easy one, a newer one, and another in case the original 3 aren't accepted. I don't know which I used and which are the same elsewhere.

Does this mean I should change passwords to everywhere?

They're all just covering their 4rses. I have 900 passwords..... if it takes 3 minutes to login/find/change each .... that'd be 45 hours straight!

This caught my eye - not this specific one, but I wanted to see what similar ones they did ..... until I saw the price.

Interesting room. If the logs are in the fireplace, where does the fire go?

oooh! I loved the last present you bought me, it gets lots of use and I think of you every time I see/use it :)

I could give you an address, but I don't have a letterbox/front door here for the postman to knock .... so I try to discourage 'deliveries'. There is a metal postbox on the wall that I check twice a week usually - big enough, just, to take a C4 envelope.... or very small packages. e.g. if it were the size of the last gift you gave me that'd never fit in. If the postman leaves a card to say "you were out" as he knocked next door, then it's something like a 6 mile, but 45 minute, round trip to collect.

So, is it small enough? Or do you want to hang onto it until I invite you over to see my new place?

New place is about 8 miles down the road from where we last met ... (8 miles further from you, but a pretty straight line)

PN maybe this webpage will lead to some ideas for making use of the space you've got

As regards comedians the funniest I've seen was Billy Connolly and Jack Dee, but I really enjoyed Steven Wright with his surreal one-liners. I don't "get" Jo Brand. Sandy Toksvig I listen to on the bbc Friday Night comedy podcast.

If I was ever at the Edinburgh festival I'd be in pig heaven.
Don't go to enough shows. My next evening out is to watch Jools Holland's prog "Later" being filmed.

    There's no fire .... it's just a "feature"
