I know how to make use of space - the main problem is that to do it properly you need skills or cash ... I've neither
New house is .... quite cavernous! Just over 700 square feet all in!!
That's substantially more sq ft per person than I have here. Good luck filling it up!Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? If so, soda bread was something we often made with my mother at weekends when we were little, it's quick, and no need to wait around for too much rising, and great to eat, as well.
I make a very good soda bread. Unfortunately Mrs Generali doesn't like soda bread.
Buttermilk is as available as double cream here. There'll be 2 brands at least in any decent sized supermarket.0 -
Well, it's best eaten fresh, so you and the baby-Gens could make some and scoff it all, sharpish!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Good luck NDB! I'm sure that a few NP will have their TVs on this morning and be watching - I will.
Can't remember if you mentioned before NDG, is he doing it for a particular charity? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Yes, it's 2 up 2 down, but good sized rooms.
"Per person" is misleading though ... one bathroom is used by all - and one cooker, one fridge etc. That was the problem with a lot of places, too small to have the "one of" things that fill up the initial space.0 -

When I saw the layout I thought it was a really practical size. One of the best I've seen. I also like the fact that it looks massive from the front, which presumably means you've got a nice wide garden and that the adjoining wall is the 12' one not the 28' one as it is here. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Bunch of small bobbing heads of people you don't know, in a place you don't know - and a bunch of random commentators filling silence with a stream of words as they've no idea what's going on either.
Meanwhile, the camera changes position and scans to another bunch of bobbing heads you don't know, in another place you don't know ... and the commentators' drivel plods on...0 -
Normally there's someone I know running in the London marathon, but this year they have done different ones, perhaps they couldn't get in.
I like watching it, the story just now about the two guys running together was really touching. They are running for the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow charity. One was going to die if he didn't get a marrow transplant and there were no matches in his family. A guy he had never met became the donor. Now they are both running together to raise more money for the charity. It's stories like that I like. Plus of course I want to cheer on Mo from the comfort of my sofa. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? If there's one thing worse than me making bread Mrs Generali doesn't like it's me making bread that Mrs Generali doesn't like and then scoffing the lot! It's bad enough that we're having chicken pie for dinner tonight (I confess to using pre-bought puff pastry) as she's not a chicken fan. Unfortunately for her, neither of the Generalissimos like chicken pie: they LOVE IT! (their favourite joke at the moment).
I failed to add yesterday that I had a good chat with Doctor friend and it seems that I'm being a little optimistic about things. At the least I have a bone marrow biopsy in my very near future.
The bread is out of the oven. I've decided the way forward is to use a temperature probe to ensure that the bread is cooked. This one is a little burned on top and is probably slightly too warm in the middle based on a quick Google (should be 85C, is 91C). I have a good feeling about this though.0 -
