Today so far I've cleaned my bedroom, done the washing, cleaned the windows.

They were very mucky after the winter we've just had.

    I've done none of that.

I have biscuits in the oven though. Less effort, more popularity job:o

Just last week I had FOUR separate letters from the agents telling me the rent's going up and trying to "con" me into signing another AST and paying £125 for them to print it out. Pfft.

    Are you replying or ignoring?

Ignoring..... AST (which doesn't exist) finishes end of next month. Current plan/timescale would mean they'd have received my notice letter in the previous 1-2 days and I'd pay one final rent payment the following day and be out a month later :)

I did an initial 6-month AST, then went periodic, so still am periodic.

No doubt they'll get on the phone at some point as they'll have not heard from me ... and I'll tell them I've noted the increase and am already on a periodic thank you very much .... won't tell them my Plan A.

I might bake biscuits when I get a freezer... at the moment all I see is: "Take a WHOLE pack of butter and a MASSIVE amount of sugar .... mix them together with flour, bake..... then EAT THE LOT"
    :)
    So I don't even start.

    :D

Frozen biscuit dough is a boon. You can freeze lots of biscuits in a sausage and just chop one or two off to bake ( if you don't mind using oven:money:) two have with coffee or a few when some one drops in.

I baked half the dough today. My guess is DH will want the other half over the weekend. Really I should have baked one to try and left it at that, biscuits are very quick. But I am going to the hair dresser
Latish tomorrow and am trying to get as much done today as possible to keep tomorrow super easy.

A 'no stress' situation has been prescribed so I don't want to be sitting at the hair dressers worrying about rolling stuff out.

Tomorrow everything is so easy that its pretty much all prep ahead food that benefits from being made today.....but the biscuits would have been better tomorrow. :o

I'm also excited at the thought of Xmas 2014.... I'll have a tree/lights/baubles - and will be able to find a suitable sized side table and position for these ... and then think about decorating the room with other things, like tinsel and paper chains etc :)

Renting/moving has meant I've kept personal possessions to a minimum as anything owned would be extra things to move next time. When you know you're 'settled' you can not worry about these things :)

The whole lot will be going up on 28/29 November (as that's a weekend)

If they have only notified the increase to you as part of the new contract i doubt you are obliged to pay the increase. To force an increase on a periodic they should issue a section 13 notice.

But you probably know all that.

No, didn't know that..... and now I've checked. Here are the dates:

    ... removed ....

I've looked it up - they have to give "... the Tenant at least 1 months’ notice" - which they have done.
