Auto correct changed Brit to Be it and Brits to Brita earlier today. There are over 60 million of us and we're behind a water filter in the word popularity stakes.

To be fair, if you asked the world if it wanted Brits or clean safe water, we'd lose that popularity contest big time. :)

    Scots and scotch?

Actually scotch eggs would win with DH. For some reason a Scottish accent really flummoxes him. I think Scotland gives some of the most beautiful accents. I like accents.

Incidentally DH finds broad Venetian hard too, which I don't:D. But I couldn't understand anything very 'colloquial' just in Bologna. :(.

This thread has taken a very weird turn.

I really have no comment to make on womens ability to target where they pee. :o
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Ironic phone call of the day.

"would I like to subscribe to a service that blocks nuisance phone calls."

    "yes please"

"we can do this for you for £65 for 3 years"

Where as we have plenty to say about men who demonstrate inability to aim well.

New medical indignities. Or old ones revisited. :(. :(.

    :(
My Friday doctor is incredible. Spirit style praise to caring, and determined medical professionals.

Even if he does make me pee in a bottle. He seems determined to stop the fire fighting and see if we cannot get better control of the route cause. Edit, also just noted what time he was on the phone to me at.

    :j:T:)
(about the wonderful doctor, not the peeing in a bottle)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

My ear has started to un-numb itself. Might get back on the painkillers.

It feels like the earache I used to get as a kid. Horrible.

We've got English rain this week. Slowly coming down all day for days, not chucking it down like aussie rain.

    That is funny.

I need to know more silver... my phone now has the ringer switched off. This is in a house that doesn't give out the phone number, has been ex-directory since the number was first allocated to us and wasn't with anyone else previously. How does it work? Is it worth it?

If they phoned to tell us that there was such a service there's a good chance we wouldn't know...

    Gorgeous morning. Absolutely gorgeous.

The trouble I have every morning, as I sit here on the sofa, is that I have to close my curtains as the sun's right in my eyes :)

I've just been considering .... in my house ... giving the whole living room a "Beach Hut Look" :)

As I can never afford a beach hut (can afford to buy one, but the annual costs of ownership are about £1500 for rent on the space, so that's not feasible) ... I figured: why not turn the whole living room and the garden into a beach hut/beach scene :)

Given enough "oomph" I could even consider painting the end fence as a sea scene with a row of beach huts painted on that too (of course, that'd never actually happen as I can't paint one colour, never mind painting "things")
