I have the same PN. I don't mind transferring money from one account of mine to another. I'm already a bit worried about transferring such a volume of cash to the solicitor.

I also update my bank accounts list every 3 months. I'm dreading the next update...

I was also very nervous about sending my hard earned and lovingly squirreled away pennies across t'internet.
The first transfer was a small amount (to cover the searches), and after transferring the larger amounts at the business end of the transaction, I made sure that the solicitor (or their assistant anyway) confirmed to me, in writing (email) that the money had arrived. Mostly so I could keep looking at the email to reassure myself it had all worked ok.

The kids are really important but actually, michaels sounds quite in need of some prioritising ATM too I think.

    Me.

    And michaels,

    And possibly viva

Any one who is light sensitive for what ever reason. :)

Some people just don't like the beach. Others get sore being there.

I recently had to send a sibling £15k or so .... after a week I HAD to ask if it'd arrived as I'd heard nothing even though I'd checked, double-checked, triple-checked, quad-checked, then waited/looked away/looked back and checked again that I'd got the right sort/account.

    It'd arrived....

Big advantage of the beach for michaels is no flowering plants, no grass, no hayfever.

I think it reasonable for an estate agent to ask for some proof of funds.

Women walks in off the street and says "I'll have that one, no mortgage required." He has a duty to the buyer to establish that you are a genuine buyer IMHO.

It's reasonable for an estate agent to ask; however, it is more than reasonable for the buyer to provide proof to the solicitor and for the EA to check with the solicitor, who can confirm that you do have the money but not disclose exactly how much money you have.
That's the way we did it (although nobody ever asked for proof we had the money, they just trusted us!!)

It's just the first round, but I'm looking forward to it!
