As Nikkster says, solicitor. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Pooh Sticks is free..... and making/floating paper boats on a local pond/lake.
We used to have a net on a cane and a small bucket - and would go out catching tiddlers in a small stream (3' wide) behind some shabby council garages. Loved doing that.
On weekdays when it was hot mum'd make tomato sandwiches and orange squash and we'd be walked half a mile to the local paddling pool. She'd sit on the grass reading magazines and we'd splash in the water. No charge for the paddling pool (outdoor, unheated, shabby). LOVED those tomato sandwiches)0 -
Day off work Day 150 quid net. Car cost to beach 40 quid, 2 hours each way plus parking, ice creams etc when there. Heat stroke sunburn and headache no charge. Would pay for dd2 to do 3 terms of tap dancing.
We have a sand box. Dd2 is like meme when young and will play sand on her own.
If 1 days work is £150, you really should be able to afford the odd jolly thing for yourself.
I've always allowed myself expenditure on music/cd's/gig tickets and the like. You work hard for it. You deserve to spend it. It is the only thing it is good for. Someone pointed out to me (just before the house appeared) that I could save all this cash, & die, & I'd never enjoy spending it.
They are right. That's the cost. What about the value? ...Priceless?
Your kids are young. You will never, ever get this time with them again. Value that! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

It's not all about days out either. It is about doing things together.
I talked a mate at work into having a go at growing veg. His daughter thinks it is ACE! She loves growing beans with him, repotting & replanting. Eating the carrots etc. It is the time they spend together. The whole family think its great! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Isaac's been doing that with OH in the flat, planting herbs and carrots and things in our massive window boxes, and watering and watching them grow. We also do a lot of that in Kent, at my parents' place, and walking dogs, playing with balls and things, all totally free (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

It's what they'll treasure when you're gone.... any money you leave is irrelevant.0 -

Blimey.
The EA I bought via asked for proof of my identity (passport) and that was it.
(assuming you've not already shown them your statements) Confirmation from your solicitor should be enough to cover any duty to their client. You'll be sending the moolah to the solicitor, so they already need to satisfy themselves they're not handling laundered money.0
