You could report them to some department... must be an offence in there somewhere. What colour is it? And what colour was it?
We should have a NP vote ...... then a whip round if we decide you were right and we can repaint it one night after dark.0 -

Gardening simply doesn't occur to me0 -
I need to gather/transfer my funds together in one place so it's all ready to transfer to a solicitor..... I am nervous of the banking system since the Co-Op had problems the other month and somebody on morning BBC News voiced the question of whether it'd go down ..... and I thought "OMG" .... as they've a big chunk of my money .... I'd always thought them "safe enough" until that point.
Then you start to worry - "what if the solicitor goes down, or the solicitor's bank goes down".
On completion day of the parents' house there was a delay as our solicitors used NatWest - and that was the day the NatWest system went down (but they weren't out of business at least!). Buyers had sent the money, we had received the money but couldn't tell..... a physical body from the solicitors had to go into the branch to check. Caused a delay of 3-4 hours.... didn't bother me that there was a delay, I had lots of options.... buyers had sold their house though so they'd have been the homeless ones (with kids/dogs) if the problem had gone past close of business.0 -
I have the same PN. I don't mind transferring money from one account of mine to another. I'm already a bit worried about transferring such a volume of cash to the solicitor.
I also update my bank accounts list every 3 months. I'm dreading the next update...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I have to provide evidence to the EA that I have the cash .... so need to juggle my evidence so they can't spot I have more ...... just in case. Just in case there is an attempt to pretend gazump me .... or just in case I end up finding/buying another one.
What I'll try to do is provide evidence of "nearly enough" and say "and there's another small account ....." and not provide evidence.
Looking at my figures I can do that easily just by leaving out one account that shows I'm "short" by £3k + costs/stamp duty.0 -

Provide the evidence to your solicitor (they probably need it anyway) and let the solicitor tell the EA?0 -

I always wished we had a lilo though - and an inner tube.
Dad brought home a piece of metal and some magnets for us to throw at it - and got some sand dumped against the wall in the garden so we could make sandcastles at home.
That's what I remember..... things we did.
Dad spent most of his time in his shed, fiddling with old televisions and an oscilloscope, but we'd go to the beach on daytrips quite a few times/year.
Day off work Day 150 quid net. Car cost to beach 40 quid, 2 hours each way plus parking, ice creams etc when there. Heat stroke sunburn and headache no charge. Would pay for dd2 to do 3 terms of tap dancing.
We have a sand box. Dd2 is like meme when young and will play sand on her own.I think....0 -

Use a day when you're not at work; weekends, annual leave, bank holidays.....
Parking's always a bugg4h, but you can find it free in some places by having a half mile walk.
No ice creams.....
For £40 in my car I could go 130 miles each way or so.
Clacton is 90 miles; Southend is 50 miles; Sheerness is 65 miles - and between the lot there are other places.
We used to go to Hunstanton and Brancaster way as kids, so about 60 miles each way.... all in an old Austin 8 and an Austin Somerset.0 -
Hang on hang on,
Michaels ....
Forget the beach thing for a minute, Of course its possible but I get why you and your skin wouldn't want to go ( though you'd probably be able to breathe for the day, no?)
What WOULD you like to do? Perhaps there is some way we collectively can help with suggesting ways to facilitate this with insider knowledge?0
