It's been grey outside for too long. It seems impermeable and it has expanded into my head.

Got to be at dinner location in an hour. I am in my dressing gown. Not the best of days.

I have a little app called Timehop on my phone that reminds me of what I've posted on social media in previous years. It's fair to say that the weather was pleasant this time last year and we haven't improved the back of our house much, although it looks different.

May I ask what happens if you don't hyperextended your knees? ( to any hyper mobile jointed people) Do they 'pop out' more easily or feel unstable? Apologies if its too personal a question, please just ignore it if so.

What exercise is suitable, would something like tai chi or Pilates/ yoga which supported posture and muscle awareness help? No idea...just musing? :o

They cause pain and in DD's case do not track properly vertically, rather side to side. She now has physio exercises to do twice a day (not terribly compliant), they are usually done from standing but physio has assessed her as to weak for that so she is doing them sitting down. Her gait is odd, and there is sometimes an audible scrunch sound.

When she is a bit stronger she can join a physio class - not sure what the basis is. Our GP has said she can continue to ride, and physio agrees so long as she lengthens her stirrups, but running and cycling (an occassional summer activity) she should stop for a while.

    Audible sound...crepitus?

Does she have difficult with stability in the joints when mounting? That's a lot of movement on knee ( and hip) unless she has a step on height block.

I really hope the physio helps her a lot.

Presumably biggest risk to knees up there and assuming her horse doesn't fall is jumping and two point seat position or slipping into a poor rising trot technique relying on knee use? I guess wide horses might also be an issue.

Is she any better today? Hope so. How are you?

But then it was cold again for a long time last year. We had very late frosts that impacted on fruit blossom, so not long after now I guess, as my plum blossom is out and my humbug pear, neither of which had fruit last year, but the other pears are only just waking up.....

Won't say what has happened in case anyone is watching highlights later, but that was poor marshalling at F1. Really bad form.

Good afternoon everyone. You've been very chatty!

I took a couple of pics yesterday, but didn't have time to post them before I dashed out of the house.
Here are the colours I was blocking yesterday:

I thought I'd water the soil I've been tending for the past 3 weeks, growing only mould on the wooden sticks I've used as markers. I was very surprised to find this:

That pink is lovely Nikks. What range/colour is it?
