On res p news, res p also saw family friend doctor this week who thinks res p is being absent minded rather than anything else.
That all sounds like more than absent mindedness to me. But hey, I'm not an expert.
No meetings with anyone famous here...

The barstewards are all ferkin like that now .... one I've just seen should be £30k less than they are asking in my book ......
New, sold for £X.
Zoopla says now worth £X + £13k
Asking £X + £40k
EA said they want £X + £35k
One fairly similar just 200 yards away is even more .... so you end up sucking it up or continuing to look, which gets you nowhere.
You have to plonk a stick down and say "S0d it .... it'll do" or "S0d it ... next one that has some positives"0 -

Don't know what' market is like round you but there are precisely four things we've even considered viewing here ( in the five towns in the balance). Treacly slow. Them forerunner is overpriced but been sitting on market for months but won't take offers. Then there is another fixer upper (its inherited this madness of buying wrecks with no profit in them).
Down here they do seem to go very quickly for about the asking price, to be fair.... so they're over-priced, but there are lots of people with a lot of money who come from London, so they seem cheap ... and still lots of BTL LLs buying everything.0 -

One of them is a lovely woman, left leaning even Lj.......culturally on the pulse, funny charming. I am very excited for her at the Monet because I kicked her up the butt about something not romantic and it seems to have worked.
Sadly this means she is now kicking me very hard In return......ouch, ouch, ouch..
Tsk. Have you forgotten there is already a queue?0 -
Re Doozer's mud.... today I had to leap from small paving slab dot to dot .... across muddy grass.... and tonight I've been pricing up astroturf0

Be careful what you wish for ... I bought a bike... and nearly every time I took it out the chain fell off (except once, when I got a puncture). Shop said I was "riding it too slowly" - and I pointed out I have to ride it slowly to get the stamina built up to ride it faster!
So now I only take it as far as I am prepared to push it home0 -

That's kind of where I got to. I do really like this house, but about 51% of the time I think I paid a bit too much (esp considering the work that needs to be done)/ wonder how difficult it'll be to resell/ etc etc.
But, I don't have to look at Rightmove every day, I don't have to deal with estate agents again (hopefully until the time of my choosing), and I'm not living under someone else's house rules (/ paying for their baths, partner's baths). And nothing has come up since that I wish I'd hung on for (and prices are still creeping up).
You can't put a price on the feeling that you can just get on with the rest of your life0 -
lostinrates wrote: »For the nice boys? Go for it.
. Or kicking me? I'm going to be very bruised
No, not the kicking. I already have someone kicking me and they told me what I can kick them back about
Then and again, probably not the nice boys either. Too nice for me! The only bit of the hen do the other weekend that makes me cringe was possibly putting someone off ever paying anyone a compliment ever again. Oops.
I'm either a) not cut out for someone being nice to me, b) haven't completed my rehabilitation yet or c) both of the above0
