I Booked a Holiday to Tunisia through Love Holidays. On arrival the Hotel was nothing as advertised on their website it stated:
Air conditioning ( no mention it was not able to be used until June maybe July time of year) I always book a room with Air Conditioning due to suffering with breathing in heat.
Indoor swimming pool - did not have one
Leisure activities - 95% were not there
2 pool bars. - both closed one had a tree and weeds growing through it.
Jacuzzi - was not one there
Heated Pools - this was just a lie !
No lights on the walk back to the room where I was. I fell twice
No lights on stairs up to the room
The list could go on.
I contacted Love Holidays in resort and got no response. I emailed the ceo when I returned and he got a member of staff to contact me who was looking in to this. Even though a statement and pictures had been sent.
They said that they are just booking agents and as such my contract is with the service provider not them. But as this is not mentioned until after you pay deposit or in full I reject this claim. I called them today almost a month later and was told they are still awaiting a response. I have just filled in a money claim form through the county court website and it is a cost of £60 and have added that to the claim I am seeking.
We need to start letting these so called travel companies we want what we pay for. I await their response / reaction to them receiving the court papers.0 -
I think we need to start doing some research before parting with money to these sorts of companies.
I have used Love Holiday in the past without any issues but things have obviously changed. "these sorts of companies" are travel agents so don't tar them all with the same brush. We use Best at Travel for a lot of our holidays and can't fault them (at the meoment;)). Definitely do the research!0 -

Any 'tarring with the same brush' was done by the poster I quoted as it was her phrase I used.
I've read lots of negative comments about all sorts of companies on here and Tripadvisor and would always do my research.
That also goes for any accommodation and I wouldn't just assume because it was perfect last year that it will be perfect again.
And if you use a 3rd party for flights, that can often make any changes even more difficult than dealing with the airline directly.
A quick check on TA or the hotel website should have highlighted the fact that a number of facilities (indoor pool, jacuzzi) didn't exist.0 -
The worst hotel and holiday provider I have ever encountered !!!!!
My partner booked to go away to Edinburgh in December for my birthday he then 7 days before going broke his leg. He then had to get a plate and 8 screw's so we where unable to go up. The same day he went online and contacted the so called holiday provider and went through there cancelling policy, to which they did not reply. He then went though the whole process again and rang them multiple times regarding the situation.
It ended up being three days before the company replied which they then stated it was to late to cancel. I have been emailing the company on and off since December it is now march, with the longest waiting time of 55 days for them to bother to reply to me. which they have now said we cannot have a refund or change the date of my birthday present. DON'T BOOK WITH THIS SO CALLED HOLIDAY COMPANY THEY SHOW NO "LOVE" TO ANY CUSTOMER !!!! :mad:0 -
I booked a holiday with loveholidays however I have had nothing but problems. One of my bestfriends passed away and the funeral is a day after I am meant to be going away. I have been trying to change the date of my flights for over a week and the team have been insensitive, rude and not helpful at all. I have been passed from pillar to post and still have not managed to change my holiday dates. Loveholidays gave me a quote to change my holiday I replied to say I wanted to go ahead and change it but I did not receive a reply and it still did not get changed I then sent them another message the following day and they replied saying that the price has changed and it had doubled in price. This is ridiculous, I replied to the first quote which no one got back to me on. I asked a team member on the phone to pass me on to a manager they told me that the manager would call me back within 2 hours, it’s now been over 48 hours and I have still not received a call. Overall every time I have called I have sat on hold for about 4 hours. I got legal advice and they told me loveholidays are breaching contract. I am now sitting on hold again waiting to speak to a manager baring in mind I am meant to be going in 3 days. The amount of stress love holidays have put me through is ridiculous as well as having to deal with the loss of my 20 year old bestfriend.
