I think some people you can help and some are just beyond reasoning with.

I have a neighbour who has a little girl (2) and is on benefits, in 2 weeks she lost 3 mobile phones and took out 2 new contracts...............now has 3 contracts, please tell me how she affords that all with swanky phones!(and why the provider let her) She is alway complaining how broke she is but has sky internet etc and gets taxis to and from the supermarket which is a short walk away.

I absolutley despair with her, I have tried to help with suggestions but now I have dsitanced myself because I couldnt stand listening to the woe is me, whilst jumpin into a cab, I work and couldnt justify a cab to Asda.

i think these types of shows are hilarious esp with people like theo paphitis (sp?) in them. here have a multimillionaire sit with you whilst you find out about going bankrupt

all these types of shows just annoy me rather than make me get upset or anything

does anyone remember that show a couple of years ago where a 'rich' family sponsored a 'poor' family so they sent them money and took them on holiday etc and one of the 'poor' families went and bought a laptop - its that same sort of thing for me

I remember that - the rich family weren't happy at the woman buying a laptop i think that their kids didnt have beds at the time!

What is it with people on benefits/low income walking around with the newest phones on the market? Even the best deals are very expensive. I sometimes feel really crappy that I still have my old Samsung and in 2 months time, instead of getting a free upgrade, I'll be keeping it and going sim only. Not to mention the latest tablet, not just for them but their kids as well. Me and dd are sharing an 8" one - purchased because my laptop died.

    On bbc1 now.

    I can't stop crying.

Especially over the single dad. His famous guest forced him to eat half a weetabix.

And then the dad said he felt guilty!

Seriously that should not be happening in this day and age, it's a disgrace it does

I have an old phone, yes I could afford a newer model but I dont NEED it, these people need everything now, well yesterday, hence the payday loans that get them into all kinds of trouble..........I do have sympathy for some people, but until this country sorts its self out and we have people are saying how dare they cut my benefits, its all wrong. I am pretty sure in America they get food stamps (and I know some peeps will find a way to sell them or something) but there they do actually have to live on the bear minimum and dont get lots of handouts or free healthcare, we'd have riots here if they did that because people think they are just entitled!!!!

I can't see the full article, but if the programme was made in January and she got the tattoos in March perhaps her circumstances have changed now?

I think Obama Care means free healthcare for all Americans (those who are unemployed). The problem is, those who work have to pay a premium and higher than they were paying before to cover those out of work.
