Another public sector pay outrage

What is certainly true however is that without private sector jobs there wouldn't be any money to pay for the public sector ones

What is certainly true is that many private sector jobs are paid for directly, indirectly or underwritten by the taxpayer.
The two are intertwined.
Interestingly many of those who complain about the cost of public services happily pay inflation plus increases for things like private health care premiums.
One way or another services have to be paid for."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

With headteachers earning more than government ministers and many teachers earning 4+ times the minimum wage, all with very generous benefits, the nonsense of suggesting they're supposed to "work for nothing" is pretty mind boggling.
People wonder why large swathes of the population don't get behind some of the 'workers' struggles and don't see that making hyperbolic cases like does far more to increase the divide between public and private sector workers than anything the government has done.
The majority of the people where I work have received two 1% increases over the last 4 years. They're working hard producing food, which you may think isn't important but I quite like being able to eat, and no less worthy of pay-rises than nurses etc but have had a considerably worse deal over the last 4 years.Having a signature removed for mentioning the removal of a previous signature. The private sector would survive without a public sector.
The public sector could not survive without the private sector.
Public sector employees should be instructed to personally thank every private sector taxpayer they meet for keeping them in work and pensions.
The public sector part of me thanked the ex private sector and current business/investor part of me last night, we both felt a lot better afterwards and buried the hatchet.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

And a very large number aren't whereas all public spending is founded upon money earnt via private enterprise. Farmers would still exist without public medical services, I'm not sure how long nurses would last without farmers

Souldn't be down to poor care though.
Bit of a grey area trying to decide whether it is the illness or care that is the issue. More so when infection gives rise to severe confusion and mental degradation. It can often end in a downward spiral where the NHS is only a bit player. Family wilful ignorance and lack of meaningful support can often be a factor. Those same families are often too eager to blame someone else for their own shortcomings."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

I am sure the private hospital but be only too willing to reattach the farmers arm ripped off in the combine harvester - just as soon as he hands over his credit card. Just hope he can reach it.
Do nurses only work and get paid by the public sector."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

No idea here just guessing...
Worker A is fully qualified on £400 a week...gets 1% pay rise...
Worker A is now on £404 a week...
Worker B has a final increment taking them from £390 a week to £400 a week.
Worker B doesn't get 1%.
Do we now have A on £404 and B on £400...both doing the same job. ??
If so Cameron thinks this is fair...0 -
The MOD employs more pen pushers (mouse pushers these days? ) than fighting people. Crazy.
In the second world war there were 2 soldiers in logisitics, comms and int for every front line soldier. Probably the last war where combat troops outnumbered support was the great war.
Now a lot of the support role is done by civil service bods. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett
