start rescue £35 for at home and nationwide recovery , and 15% top cashback makes it under £30 a year, you don't need to pay and claim either

Auto Aid seems to get good reviews and seem to pay out fairly quickly. Just the thought of paying a huge amount to get recovered and then a dispute arising.

Are you paying a third party recovery company or autoaid themselves?

If it's the former it makes sense. they want to put the onus on you to pay first so you dont just sign any agreement and make some effort to shop around and get a reasonable quote.

You pay whoever recovers you - you can ask AutoAid or arrange it yourself. Then you claim the money back from AutoAid.

I've claimed 3 times and not had any problem.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

No i haven't had to call Start Resuce out, only called to swap cars to another reg which is free been with them 3 years now , thing that puts me off AutoAid is the pay and claim , if you don't have the funds to pay you are stuck

A further plug for Autoaid. I've had to call them out 3 times over the years, never had a problem. Pay the recovery van by credit card, send off your claim, a cheque arrives within a week.

A thing I do like is they will recover you to a garage of your choice, not just the nearest one. So if you're miles from home, they'll still take you to your local garage if you want - which is obviously far more convenient than having your car stuck in some garage miles away.

The vast majority of motorists carry a credit card.

Autoaid has the cheque to you within a week so you have the money in your account by the time the credit card bill arrives.

On any breakdown cover that comes with Motor Insurance or Bank Account
go through the small print with a fine tooth combe - If the small print isn't included on the web-site or letters, ask for a copy

All too often these inclusive offers are for cover that is so pared down, the only thing left is the headline BREAK DOWN COVER

This has been my experience, too.
