Parking Eye lose again in court

This isn't just a business meeting though - it's a court hearing. Assuming the call took place ( which I believe it did ) wouldn't you expect the barrister to at least say "who are you" ? I get lots of calls about PPI refunds - I challenge them each time to identify themselves and I'm not a legal expert. I trust nobody until the prove it.
To you it might seem special, but to a barrister it is just another job.
If you came into the office and there was a call that made perfect sense stating it was from the appropriate person I doubt you would feel the need to check.
Come on, we are in a forum here where people get lies sent to them every day and the hardest job is getting them to accept this, why should it be so difficult to accept that someone successfully caught out a barrister?0 -

who ever is responsible for this waste of time should be dealt with appropriately by the authorities. From the Plain Language Commission:

The Judge has asked the Police to carry out a full investigation into the alleged phone call with a view to bringing criminal proceedings, so it would be inappropriate to comment further on that aspect.
There will now be NO further info posted on public forums about this case, and no further questions answered, until the hearing has concluded.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
Okay thanks for the update, a rather frustrating day for all concerned. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

The poor old barrister is coming in for a bit of stick here. I suspect the call was to his office and passed on to him.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Trisontana I have had a good search here and on Pepipoo but I can't find reference to this. Do you have any more details? Thanks!0 -
