PCN from PPS at Hull Port - Received NTK - What next?

Whoops, you have copied & pasted Parking Eye and Southampton Town Quay Byelaws into your draft! Be very careful as we won't proof read every word.
''The byelaws make it very clear that the penalties for parking on the land designated is solely in the gift of the Criminal courts and as such Parking Eye has no standing whatsoever to enforce Civil parking charges or parking systems, as is it not designated as an authorised person within the meaning of the byelaws. Additionally, the byelaws also make clear that the Port of Southampton to which they apply includes the Town Quay. ''PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks coupon-mad - noted, I was a bit hasty with that!
Should I send the BPA the censored letter scan as I attached here in the tinypic link or can I send them the non-censored one with the PCN no. on it?0 -
You send a non redacted version to them, so they can see what you've had. Just don't admit anything and keep it as the registered keeper onlyWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

So the latest on this is that I complained to steve.c@britishparking.co.uk and have received no response - I am thinking it is best to send a letter now.
I complained to the DVLA who responded saying that any issues with PPS not complying with the BPA CoP should be taken up with the BPA - as I have done. They said to feel free to copy them into any correspondence I have with them.
Not received anything back from PPS with regards to my appeal - awaiting rejection & POPLA code but not sure how long that usually takes.
Also the letter from PPS says if i wish to challenge or enquire about the charge then I should write to them on the address overleaf - which I may also do in addition to the email I sent to them and which they have acknowledged. In this letter I would include the correspondence I have had with the DVLA and BPA - what are your thoughts on that angle?0 -
If they say to write to them then do so anyway. Make sure you get a certificate of posting from the PO.0
-
Will do. I have included all the emails/correspondence i have had with BPA and DVLA and also the original appeal I sent to them via email.
I could actually include the copy of payment for parking as originally made by the driver - to which the parking charge relates. Is that worth doing as extra ammo that there is no point pursuing the registered keeper or driver?0 -
Interestingly and to add some further context.........
DVLA details were requested 42 days after the windscreen PCN.
NTK sent dated 7 days after the DVLA details were requested & released.
I believe PPS are using tactics found similarly in this thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4909685
In order to cloud the distinction between NTK & Reminder in order for them to be able to 'deny' appeal or request for POPLA codes? This is based on what stroma thought with regards to the letter I received in the post.
Importantly I have posted the appeal with proof and within the 28 days appeal window after NTK first arrived.0 -
After a bit more digging it seems that PPS have reverted to using CCS collect in the first instance to issue the 'NTK' / First letter after the windscreen PCN. They are sneaky though as it does not mention CCS anywhere on the letter other than 'CCS Reference' They seem to be posing as PPS by using their logo in the top right hand corner & using tactics similar to before POPLA was around.
An appeal was posted to the address on the back of the first letter & this turns out to be CCS Collect's address.
An appeal had already been sent via email to PPS to which they have not responded.
Does anyone recommend sending a copy of the appeal that was sent to CCS via post to PPS also - in order to try and get a POPLA code?
Or just wait for the next CCS letter in the chain and ignore/take it from there?0 -
Anyone?????0
