    Hi mildew,

    I am such a nugget:o

Prepared a salad and put tray of potatoes with mozzarella in the oven and took chicken out of fridge to come up to room temperature.
Everything was ready and I was just about to cut into the chicken when I realised it was raw:eek:. I thought it was a cooked chicken:o
    Honestly

I've never bought a rotisserie chicken from marksies before and for some reason thought it was cooked:o

Just as well the bendy vegetable soup was tasty:T
I have made this mistake too, they look cooked. Luckily I spotted the cooking time and it made me investigate further. At least you noticed:eek:

I think I need the elites help :o
DH is taking a car full of stuff to the tip and I'm fretting over what's in the car :o
The main thing I'm getting worked up over is DS2s smart trike.
He has one of the smart trike scooters (they retail for over a hundred quid new, yeah like I paid that for it!!) and we still have the scooter element of it,its just DH is taking away all the add on bits that make it suitable from 6 months old. DS2 isnt a baby anymore so they're really not needed.
I just find it hard to throw away anything that may be useful to someone else. I know I could keep the bits and pass the entire scooter set on to someone else in a year when DS is done with it, but that's a year away and the bits are big and bulky and a pain to store and we need to declutter this house :(
I need an elite kick up the bum to make me see sense I think :(
    Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

I know how you feel, my home is full of bits that I think might be useful for someone/anyone else but they just end up still here. Sometimes you just have to let it go, hard as it is. I am trying to declutter 2 spare rooms filled with useful stuff but making slow progress.

Sorry, I'm new , but if I may offer an opinion, chuck out old stuff if you need the space, if you don't then keep it on hold till you do need the space. Sorry to sound condescending, but I have loads of stuff I should get rid of, but can't! wish I could chuck it and live minimalist!
  • Morning all :hello:

Quick catch up this morning, but now work beckons :(
I have a feeling today isn't going to be a good one, but we will no doubt survive as we always do :rotfl:

Morning all. Blue skies one minute and spring showers the next here.

Today's lunch will be DTD roast pork, roast potatoes, leeks (from the garden) and carrots, followed by apple and blackberry crumble (fruit from next door neighbour, crumble topping and custard bought as fillers at some point). A very elite MSE meal all round :money:
Oh and the joint is huge - I think we'll be eating it all week :D

Thanx both :) and welcome niceandchilled :)
I know these bits have been sat under the bed for the best part of 2 years and if they stay here they probably won't go anywhere but its still not easy is it? :o
I think the bit that worries me is I could (if I can find every last piece in this house) put the whole set back together and give it to someone else who can't afford the hundred quid retail price tag (I only paid £15 for it 2 years ago)
If the retail price tag on the item wasn't so high I wouldn't think twice before throwing it away :o
