Paint or not paint

Hi Natlie
After your kind words yesterday I just wanted to wish you luck with your sale. I can't comment on the wall as apparently my own decor has a lot to be desired ;-)
You can't please 'em all xx0 -

Thanks all - it has been great fun reading your posts, I am going to leave it for now and ask the estate agent if the lady that viewed the house the on Sunday mentioned it at all. Its definitely paint.
I am going to paint the wall behind the cooker - 1st job on the list, I am also going to ask the estate agent to take down the horrible pic of the carport and take a new pic of the kitchen which is actually double the size.
I did have a beautiful garden before the tenants cut down all our trees and hedges at the front - I need to do some tidying up there - they have been severely spoken to about that as they didn't ask permission - I do have plants at the back - but not quite the right time of year for flowering yet.
Thanks again

Just to add my 2pence.... I'm a bloke. I likw blokey things. I like a minimalist look, with a TV on the wall and everything else hidden.
However, that muralis actually quite nice, and it certainly wouldn't put me off buying a house. At the very worst I'd just think "no I don't like that" and paint over it.Mortgage free for 5 months :T Then got another mortgage:rotfl:0 -
Although I think the writing is twee and vomit-inducing, it does make me think that perhaps the house has been a well cared-for family home. Assuming it would be easy to paint over, it wouldn't put me off viewing the house. I'd be more concerned about the lack of floorplans if I were you!
Good luck with your sale

If I were you, I'd spend my time de-cluttering and having the EA take update photos.0

Yes a Floorplan is very important!
The house looks clean if busy with 2/3 kids/babies in the property.
No problem with the living room but the WIFE would repaint the whole house within weeks of moving in0 -
I hate it but it wouldn't stop me buying the house. It does at least create a focal point. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
