Years ago, after I had been made redundant I had a brief stint standing a stall on the Flea Market. Was only in New Square then. Jacket spud with cottage cheese was my regular Thursday lunch!

  • Afternoon all. Been a busy few days so haven't caught up on posts yet. Friday I did a bit more of the girls room. Then when DH finished work we took the pup for a nice long walk while it was warm. Didn't get much done in the afternoon.

Was up early Sat for the girls swimming but it was cancelled so we have rearranged the room and conservatory, looks a bit worse at the minute but will work o it. We had the conservatory as a dining room but it was too cold in winter and too warm in summer so spent more time eating on the living room floor. The table is now in the room and I'm going to sort the dining room for the kids, beanbags, books, music etc..

This morning has been a lazy morning with a fried breakfast and a roast in slowcooker. DH has just dropped DD to the big swimming pool for the first time, she usually goes to the local smaller one. She is a fantastic swimmer but still a bit scary. Might look at taking the little ones to show them where we used to swim before it's rebuilt.

Right, better stop using the computer as my excuse and get something done to clear some of this mess. Hope everyone is ok x

Hello all. Had a lazy day yesterday with DH and went to see Seann Walsh in Selby in the evening. That was interesting, what can I say? I wish the drunk hecklers would stay at home. Lots of laughs none the less.

Today, I've walked the dogs with DH, lots of playing ball in the field, cut the grass back and front, and removed some weeds from the patio.

Am just about to take the dogs for another walk in the lovely sunshine and will then hoover and mop through when I get back.

For the teachers on here, what is an in tray exercise?

Hope everyone is having a good day, catch you later.

Just googled it and this came up http://www.kent.ac.uk/careers/interviews/intray.htm

I've not heard of teachers being asked to undertake them but have heard of headship/deputy headship candidates being set them.

Basically it's how you deal with a 'random' set of issues/tasks.

Huge (((hugs))) Natty. I still miss Darling D, and she went in 2006. (I'm just so glad I had her around me for as long as I did; it makes me a very lucky person.) You did everything anyone possibly could to give Amycat the best life she could have had, and letting her go was brave, selfless, compassionate and loving. I hope the kittens make you laugh a lot over the next few days while you get over the shock.
Natty (((HUGS))); HB has expressed what I wanted to say so much more eloquently than I would have done. Penny-Dog made her Journey in 2002, and I still miss her. Amycat will never be completely gone while you hold her still in your heart. x

Folks, apologies for lack of posts of late; I've had a rough few days and not had the energy to put together anything coherent. Normal service will be resumed.... at some point.:o

We were out last night - Welsh National Opera performance of Verdi's La Traviata, which was excellent, but of course I'm wiped out today.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
