I like my one! Also it's the most up to date version. But please, don't hold your breath as you will NOT get a POPLA code this late.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well I'll give it a go anyway, what have I got to lose.0

That's what I meant when I said even a small claim is no biggie! You may as well send it and maybe they will have a clerk who doesn't notice the dates and sends you a POPLA code anyway! And if not then you've lost nothing, most cases never go to court and if yours does it's very defendable.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've sent the letter by email so will just wait to hear back from them. I saw a letter written to the debt collectors on here somewhere, should I send them an email also denying any debt and to refer it back to excel?0

I tend to think it's fairly pointless, personally.

Ok thanks...I've received an automated email asking for the
1. PCN number (which i've quoted)
2. A full postal address (which clearly they already have)
3. The full name of the motorist - I haven't disclosed this as yet.
Am I wrong in thinking I don't need to at this stage?0 -
No need to give any details about 'the motorist' (which they will adduce is 'the driver'). Sneaky move of theirs - seen many times previously! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Little update, I sent my appeal, and have now received a letter from Excel Acknowledging it and said they should get back to me within 35 days of my appeal. So we will see how that goes.0
-
Ok I have a further update. After attempting to appeal to Excel, they have sent a letter telling me that I must deal with Roxburgh, and they will not respond to any further correspondence.
I did receive a letter a few weeks ago from Roxburgh demanding £160 but have heard nothing since....so whats my next move?0
