Asda - one price for you & one price for me....VERY weird.

As per your request Joe - but there's nothing on here which I haven't said already......
"Dear Mr Clarke
On the 7th March I received an email from Asda.com offering me a “£10 off” coupon if I spent over £75 on groceries before 4th April 2014. The information given was that the code was already pre-loaded “in my basket” and would be applied automatically.
Upon entering my shopping (which included numerous offer promotions) and assuming that the £10 off would be attached to my basket, I went to pay for the items. Unfortunately the £10 off voucher coupon was not available. After searching through my online account I could not find the voucher which was offered to me by email.
I eventually realised I had two Asda.com accounts. I then entered my old Asda account details which did indeed have the £10 voucher coupon already in my basket as per the information Asda had given me. I then proceeded to duplicate the original basket items from my first shop to the account which had the £10 off voucher.
Incredibly, I noticed different prices listed and items not on promotion on the account with the “£10 off” code.
Having double checked all the items and going through different methods to see if this was an error on my part, I asked my husband to double check what I felt was a huge manipulation of customer accounts by Asda.
We have taken screen shots of the original basket and prices showing promotions and also screen shots of exactly the same items without any promotion attached to them – on the same website: Asda.com.
Therefore my conclusion is that Asda clearly have different prices for different customers. ie Customers which are loyal and return, receive promotions and discounts etc. However, customers who are tempted back to Asda with “£10 off vouchers” emails are not receiving discount promotions and offers and are therefore actually paying far more for exactly the same products. I’m sure Asda customers would be very interested in my findings if this is correct. Surely Asda have to explain their actions regarding this.
I would be very disappointed if Asda have deliberately set out to “con” customers in this way. We spend on average of around £400 per month at our local Asda supermarket at Gosforth Newcastle – if Asda is found to have manipulated customers accounts to avoid them receiving promotional offers, I will shop elsewhere.
I have yet to contact Trading Standards as I’m prepared to listen to your views first."0
