Firefox is better than internet explorer

I switched to firefox about a month ago because everyone raving about it and am really disappointed at not switching sooner! Firefox add-ons are so good and anyone who is using firefox or thinking of converting make sure to use the add-on adblock plus. Literally no adverts on anything even youtube, 4od etc... Another great add-on is ghostery it shows you all the tracking cookies on sites and blocks them. This page has 3 trackers. It also is so much faster and smoother than internet explorer.
Are any of you using firefox? What do you think?

On Adblock Plus, if you go to their website, you'll find additional things it can do, malicious site blocker I believe, and anti-tracking too.
The other two add-ons I like on Firefox are LastPass which is essential, and DownloadHelper for downloading Youtube (and other sites) vids.0 -
What a strange post, "Are any of you using Firefox?", well, various web statistics organisations put Firefox usage levels between around 18% and 21%, which means there will be many thousands of people on this site who use it, some like me who have been using it for many years. It's not perfect, nothing is, but I prefer it to IE, Chrome and Safari.

Try 'Ghostery' add on to further stop tracking...
I use FF as I'm not a Chrome fan and unless you are using one of the more secure versions like 'SRWare Iron' or 'Comodo Dragon' there are some privacy concerns.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I no longer think FF is competitive and IE believe it or not is faster, esp if you have 64 bit. FF has become bloated with crap and you see it suffer in the speed. You can improve it somewhat by making it cache onto a ramdisk but you can do that with all of them
chrome (was/is) really where it's at. I'm sorry to go back to IE but chrome refuse to go 64 bit, if they did, I'm sure it'd be absolutely incredible. I am one of many still waiting for this!0 -

I prefer ie to firefox. The new versions being released every 10 minutes were a joke, and as a developer it was almost as bad as ie6, and kept on crashing my dev pc, so in protest ive designed our stuff to refuse to run on it. Can see why dell charge to install it, chances are it wont work straight off.0

Then perhaps a more direct question would have been a good idea.0 -
I have used FF for many years and have only had a problem recently, when installing a latest Upgrade. It completely wrecked my ability to send Hotmail E mails, which I proved by using IE to send them. I found that the 'Upgrade' had been a Beta, which escaped my notice.
I completely uninstalled FF and used IE11/64 bit for a while, then installed the next version of FF when it became available as non-Beta. Now it works fine, but I retained IE11 just in case. I have them both in System Tray, ready for use. The annoying part of this is that (a) I have upgraded to other FF Beta's before without problems (b) I contacted FF to report the problem, only to discover lots more users having the same problem. No reason or Help was given about this and I had no reply from FF.
You may be certain that I will never again use a FF Beta application, although I will continue to use the browser.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
