Hi RT, I do have a diary, although I'm not very good at updating it regularly!
No horror stories of the teen years so far, my 14yo is still very cuddly, and apart from a bit of backchat they're not too bad! Could still all be to come though I suppose!0 -

:rotfl: When I was your DD1's age I'd have loved to have had little siblings at home, I'd have treated them like dolls
. DD loved nursery, when we arrived I was busy telling the staff that she can be clingy & probably wouldn't let go of my leg, when I looked round she'd shot off & was playing in another room :rotfl:. She then cried when I went to collect her as she didn't want to leave
. So I think we can say it was a success!
Absolutely not :eek::eek::eek::rotfl:
Glad dd enjoyed nursery, it's always nice when they don't want to leave, it means they will be happy to go back another day :T
How's the ebaying going? I ws hoping to do some this weekend but I'm going to wait until the kids are at school next week. Not that I have much to sell anymore....I'm waiting for car boot weather to get rid of stuff nowMortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

I think DD would prob move into nursery if she could, the girl who runs it is like the Pied Piper for kids & there's water play & poster paints which rotten mummy won't let her have at home :rotfl:
Just about to update re: eBay & other stuff...:)Life is changing...but I'm still Money Saving!0 -
Well I've returned the last bits from the M&S & Next sales that I was umming & ahhing over so that's freed up a bit of psychological cash
. I've got £17 of eBay bids before [STRIKE]astronomical [/STRIKE] fees. I've decided that eBay profits will go into the holiday/treats fund, I really want us to be able to have some nice days as a family this year now that things are easier with DS, we have the right strategies & knowledge so we can actually take him away & it be fun & not a trauma!
Managed to get said DS some jeans that fit in Sainsys - he can't cope with the skinny ones that are in fashion as they are too much for his Autistic sensitivities - went back to get a second pair to be told they don't have any as they'd gone half price about an hour after I bought them
As may have been noted by anyone who reads Goldiegirl's diary, I am guilty as charged with buying a vacuum cleaner from QVC. The one I got last Nov has turned out to be a bit pants but in true QVC style they've agreed to take that one back & send me the Dyson to try. I'm particularly pleased as the Dyson is both an upright & a handheld (the other was just a handheld) & the difference is only about £62. If it works out I'll stick the two Dysons we have (we inherited one from OH's grandparents) on eBay cheap as parts, they do work ish but are clearly on the way out, our original one we bought when we first got together which feels about 150 years ago now :rotfl:

That's very good service from QVC, to take back the previous Dyson.
I like your idea of listing a couple of eBay items a day. I find that, if I list anymore than three items a day, I start to feel punch drunk, so a couple of day would work for me. Also, if I used up my free 20 items, I could carry on listing, but put in a start date in the future. When there was a free listing day, I could then make them live.
I think I'll start that from tomorrow
The fees that eBay charge are so high though. As I'm noting down the additional funds I generate this year, I'm keeping a tally. By the time the eBay and PayPal fees are taken into account, on low price items, the profit is pennies.:(Early retired - 18th December 2014

I know Gg, it's very frustrating when the cut is so high, argh! I think they are having more FLWs too from what I hear? So that might help, they'd all but disappeared at one time.
The earlier vac was a Gtech, my Gran has the upright (called the Air Ram!) & really rates it, the one I got was the handheld (the Multi) & it couldn't cope with pine needles! The Dyson is the DC35, I shall update my feedback! Here endeth the first vacuuming lesson. QVC are famous for their extortionate P&P & their comedy presentations but IME their customer service is very good :money:

After the weekend I've just had with my two, I think you might be right about them storing it up for me :rotfl:
I know what you mean about the skinny jeans...DS1 can't bear them, or the ones with the sort of twisted seams. He is most probably undiagnosed AS (his older half brother is autistic) and has issues with sensitivities as well. His skin goes red as soon as you touch it and he really struggles with lots of noise. I think he has improved a bit as he's got older though0 -
Hi RoaringTwenties, just found your diary and wanted to let you know I enjoyed reading it. I also have a 6 and 3 year old and took something from the recent posts about enjoying these early years. I think sometimes that life goes so fast, we forget to live in the moment.
Good luck with the rest of your MF journey.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

That all sounds very familiar to me I must say! My mum bought my DS a lovely Christmas jumper from Next but it was wool & drove him mad, I ended up buying him a cheap acrylic one from Asda with a deranged looking reindeer on the front :rotfl:. My DS is also improving with age, I think it's more that he's learnt to manage himself more, as have we.
I've found your diary, will pop a quick post on when I've finished updating mineLife is changing...but I'm still Money Saving!0
