Sounds like a great plan to me.
I don't really 'do' Mr Money Moustache', but the one thing I remember reading from his blogs was that your future selves will thank you for the action you take now. I think this applies here!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Hi Goldiegirl
Never heard of Mr Money Moustache! But I think he's on the right lines
I think we're making the right decision, we've got a really good price on the place we're buying, pragmatic sellers & lovely people. I don't really relish the thought of another mortgage, the last few weeks of mortgage-freedom have been lovely. Having said that, we haven't had any more treats with the extra money, it's all just gone into savings. And I am confident that if we save up over the next 15 years then what we'll have at the end of it won't buy us what we want by then, given almost inevitable rise in house prices & depressed savings rates!
Hope you're well, will try to pop by your diaryLife is changing...but I'm still Money Saving!0 -
Exciting times and a well thought out plan - great stuff :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
