Hi Crumpets
It's teal with a yellow tummy! My DS had stacks if them over the last couple of years - gorilla, crocodile, tiger, panda - & they've all washed well. They are a bargain half price though as they're usually £20 :T
Checked out the best NISAs on MSE :money: & am going to transfer from Skippers to Nationwide. It'll make about £10 difference over the year but it's still £10 at the end of the day! Popped into Nationwide to open it & ended up having a girlie chat with young staff member who had just got engaged, that sort of thing always happens to me, OH says I've got that kind of face
A few bits bought today, including a Fimbles DVD for £1.50 from the kids toys/DVDs/books stall on our Weds market, my kids have never seen it but apparently Fimbles are one of those progs that kids love & adults hate, so it could turn out to be the worst £1.50 I've ever spent :rotfl:. Also had lunch out with good friend which was £12 but worth it as food & company both brillLife is changing...but I'm still Money Saving!0 -
I used to love the Fimbles when dd1 was little, especially baby Pom
it used to be on the bed time hour on cbeebies every night. I'm sure your dd will love it. I still have a Fimbles painting apron that we use and dd2 doesn't have a clue who they are, she calls them moles
Good news on the NISA:T £10 better in your pocket than anyone else's, I'm laughing at you having one of those faces, do you get everyone telling you their life story? I always get asked for directions, even if i'm in a place i've never been before, I must also have one of those faces. I wouldn't mind but I'm rubbish at giving directions and struggle with my left and my rights:rotfl:

I think Mr Goldie has one of those faces too.
He's always asked for directions, or if people want their photograph taken at tourist attraction, they always ask him to take it.
Glad all is well with you RT, and that your dad is doing wellEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Crumpets & Gg :rotfl: I do get asked for directions a lot actually, the other day someone wanted to know if there are any vintage clothing shops in our city, that was a new one on me & I'm not quite sure what it says about my wardrobe
. I never get asked to take photos though, I think people see me blinking uselessly at my iPhone & just know not to get me involved with technology
Been quiet the last few days as DD has chicken pox. So far she doesn't seem too bad with it though I know it can come on in stages as it did with DS who usefully got it when I was 6 weeks pregnant with DD & just starting with hyperemesis . As he wasn't ill with it at the start a good friend whose son got it at the same time took them both off for a day to a big park near us, it has a massive splash park with sprinklers, several adventure playgrounds, giant sandpits, a ride-on train, loads of rides & ice cream sellers etc. So in keeping with chicken pox tradition I took DD there on Thurs! All the local schools were on strike so the place was packed, I went with a good friend & her two kids & we took a picnic which was lovely. Not the cheapest day but not bad, around £15 I reckon all in for my two, & they all had a brill day to remember :T
Went through my credit card bill yesterday & realised Asda haven't processed a refund of £6 so I shall have to get onto that. My new router arrived & set up no probs so I'm back in the land of the cyber-living. Our ethernet cable was on its last wires & a new one came free with the router, that would have cost at least as much as the £5.99 P&P to get the router here so I'm quite pleased!
I've now come down with a cold so feeling a bit bleurgh but am hoping to get a few jobs done over the weekend as DS is away with my mum. Might try to get a few more bits organised for DS' birthday, he wants a Bananaman DVD . I buy them used from Amazon/PlayTrade etc now as within ten seconds of being in DS' hands they look secondhand anyway
Have a nice day all
PS: Goldirgirl thanks for remembering about my DadLife is changing...but I'm still Money Saving!0 -
Hi RT, bad news about the chicken pox:( some people say the younger they are the milder they get it, although dd2 had it when she was 12 months and had it really bad
I hope she gets over it quickly.
Your big park sounds ace! We have a similar one in a near by town but it's not local enough to go very often. It sounds like you had a fab time and £15 for a family day out is excellent value!
Did your dd enjoy the Fimbles DVD? I love the fact your Ds wants banana man, is it the 'old Skool' one or have they re-vamped it?Mortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

Hi Crumpets, as I predicted the chicken pox has worsened
She's gone to bed covered in calamine! Oh well, the only benefit is that she should have good immunity after this...
We haven't tried the Fimbles yet, she's still obsessed with Bala-flipping-moryIs the Roly Mo show related btw?! (The things you find yourself asking eh?!
)
Bananaman is the original one! Apparently he saw it at school  Think I might have to get on to the LEA & see what's happening to my taxes :rotfl:Life is changing...but I'm still Money Saving!0 -
Yep the roly mo show is a spin off from the Fimbles, I'm surprised they haven't brought these shows back to cbeebies, they must still have them lurking around somewhere.
Poor dd, I hope she gets good nights sleep (and you and mrs RT too) aloe Vera might help with the itching, also an oatmeal bath can be soothing too, have you given her piriton? :grouphug:Mortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

We all had a surprisingly good night! I haven't given her Piriton, I have some [STRIKE]& completely forgot about it like a terrible mother[/STRIKE]
Will bear the oatmeal & aloe vera in mind too, thanks. Have kept her Calpolled though, wonderful, wonderful Calpol
. She seems quite a bit better today & apparently tomorrow is the last day that new spots can appear...
I thought Roly Mo was related! As long as they don't bring back Pinky Dinky Doo (or Pinky Dinky Don't as I preferred to call it) I don't mind :rotfl:Life is changing...but I'm still Money Saving!0
