Cheers kdean!
i think that pretty much covers any flat surface in my place... my flat is a hotspot, lol!:money: I heart Martin! :money:0 -
I have done level 1 and cleared some of the clutter in living room today. Have managed to get some actual work done today though so hasn't been completely wasted. Just popping in here between jobs, it has slowed down a bit now:rolleyes:0

Is there a flylady thingy for childcare?? My two are driving me mad, DD2 is copying DD1 screaming from yesterday. Have had to threaten to smack her everytime she screams from now on. DD1 kicked off on the way back from storytime at what will be her school come September. They seem determined to wind each other up at the moment. DH started new job on Monday and informed me its pizza a DVD night after work tomorrow in the staff room (got plasma tv, big american fridge, oven, microwave, table tennis table etc) think I would quiet like to work there and he can stay at home with these horrible whinging mess making machines!
Cannot be bothered to copy and paste my list but since last time I have:-
Made lunch
DD1 back to school
Trip back home
Phoned meter readings through
Washing, I give up today. Pegged out, threw it down for about 3 minutes then brilliant sunshine. Drizzled for a couple of minutes then while waiting at school for DD1 rained, hailed, thunder and lightening! Blooming washing can stay on the line and will rewash it tomorrow!
Right shall I prep veggies for tea or do sofa next, hmm what an exciting life I lead!0 -
we've all found that when the room comes around again (the following week) its a lot easier, as flying allows us to keep on tope of it.
My main problem is I do massive rushes of cleaning when I'm having visitors, then it all builds up again til the next time... I clean more at my OH's place - it's so much easier when the starting point is better!:money: I heart Martin! :money:0 -

This is important - If there is thunder/lightning, switch off PC immediately and disconnect modem. This is really important. DH has involvement with insurance and the number of claims for computers after a thunderstorm is phenomenal. You may not see the micro flash, but if the lightning gets anywhere near the modem your computer is fried.
Deep breath, calm down.
Still catching up on posts. I have run round today like a lunatic, and the house looks worse than when I started Monday morning  Hey ho!
So far today, kept DS cuddled, fed and changed, his stuff cleaned, bottles made up and worked round an apparent allergy to sleep.
Took in a huge delivery from Sainsburys (haven't got it all away, but I feel I have earned this sit down).
Got a load of ebay parcels wrapped and posted. Still getting the hang of that, I've a lot to do to catch up with Pigpen.
Phoned Salvation Army re donation of furniture
No Diet Coke!!!!!
Washed up, S&S in kitchen.
Rang re donating clothes.
I sort post daily, and filed away a few bills etc.
Checked viability of selling VHS on ebay and decided that it really was not worth it.
Ordered posh teabags (orange pekoe - love the stuff but it is soooo expensive. I may go for afternoon Earl Grey if I last three weeks.)
Hung up some old fashioned flypaper to try and catch the "£%*^&! flies. When I came back from post office there were three flies just resting on my front door. I don't think that they got in - but they are sneaky £$*&%"!s
And I overslept til 9am!
It is amazing how you learn your lessons. When my mother passed away, I helped to sort out the house. Now, Mum was a wonderful woman, but not a brilliant housekeeper. I found carrier bags stuffed with letters going back twenty years. Some of it was junk mail sandwiched between the letters. There was all sorts of stuff, which had to be sorted. One of the things I found was a letter from my Great Aunt to my Grandfather about my Great Grandfather being lost at sea during WW2 so couldn't just junk the whole lot. It took me ages, so now I try and sort mail on daily basis. I am not saying anything else gets doneI suppose everyone finds their own priorities.
Last night we emptied our video storage (DH did most of the work) and moved stuff around, so I can see tide marks
And now the forum is back up I can carry on flying (well, at least a few flaps :rotfl:)
Anyway, that's one cup of tea finished, back into the fray.
Lil_me - I really admire you. Giving Holly a new home must hurt, but I think you are doing the right thing.
HevAlways another chapter0 -
had a big thunder and lightening storm in the middle of my girls sports day so we all had to stand in the hall for 45 mins for the kids to get dressed and mine always seems to take the longest.and it carried on the whole walk home i swear its because my car blew up why theres all this rain!!! but her house won so shes pleased and my other is asleep
ne day i WILL be debt free
:rotfl:i hope!! :rotfl:0 -
It must be something in the air because DS who is usually an angel :A (for a 2/3 yr old) has been driving me mad for the past two days. Really will not listen to me, just looks at me and carries on when I tell him to stop chasing the cats, jumping on bed, taking cakes/biscuits without asking and opening every yoghurt in the fridge! I threatened him with cancelling his birthday if he carries on and he just said "I don't want any presents" (which is alright because I have bought any yet:eek: ). I am finding it extremely difficult to work when he is awake now. Have got to get him in to nursery in September!!!0

hoik in slowcooker and slop on plates at tea time..
As this is today's dinner I'll be using this recipe:
http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/corned-beef-hash-with-fried-eggs,749,RC.html
but chucking in some garlic when the potatoes are almost done, and some crushed red chillis when I season it up - YUM!!!:money: I heart Martin! :money:0 -
Is it the heat?
Cos Charlie has been a PITA (pain in the !!!) today too. Whingy, clinging onto me screaming to go down, and then wanting up, head butted me in the windpipe, scratched my face, refused to eat his breakfast this morning.
The only other thing up with him is a slightly dodgy tummy probably from grapes yesterday, and he is sweating like mad, so i put it down to heat, cos i am getting hot and bothered from the holding him.
It also stopped him sleeping well last night, so you don't know how it is affecting older kids. Just a suggestion anyway. I'm going to try and make him drink a bit more juice when he wakes up, cos he has had over an hour now plus an hour and a half this morning, which is a bit much by his standards. #Would wake him up now but i can't be doing with more whinging as i don't feel right.
