**big kicks all round** someone kick me back please, tried to kick my own backside and fell over :o. Lack of sleep=no motivation. Actually once I pick up DS1 from school I might see if I can sneak off to bed for an hour while DP watches the boys. Yawning so much my jaw hurts.

Oh no I forgot to ring dentists, will do that now.
One day I might be more organised...........

help, I am more of a lurker on this board, but it is brill, just wondering, since I move in 6 weeks ago, my cupboards are a mess, just wondering how you arrange yours. currently I have a cupboard above the kettle, with the tea coffee in and the cupboard near the door into the hallway with the crockery.

I have 9 cupboards, but what I really want is what you group together, or have close to each other.

    Thanks

    Louise

Hello to lil_me,AnW'sMum, pigpen, Dustykitten, nicki, beckiem, happyathomewithmyboys, kdean, pollybear,LJD1and anyone I forgot. I haven't been on here much because kids are all home and getting to use PC is impossible but it keeps them quiet. Especially the 22 and 23 year olds! Stops them fighting.

I am exagerating a bit. Some of you are probably not much older than my noisy family.

Anyway not being on here as lil_me says has actually had me doing things in the house. DD and I have tidied, cleaned and vacuumed the whole of upstairs today as DS2 and DS3 are both at work. Miracles do happen. So we were able to get into the squalid mess they call a bedroom. They won't recognise it and will definitely complain that they can't find things.

We have really got carried away in lounge and hall. Took down all curtains so that can put lighter weight summer ones up. :rotfl: Thought it might seem like summer if we did that. Then decided we didn't like the stained window ledges and surrounds so have been sanding down and putting primer on them all. Our walls are 2-3feet thick so window ledges are quite big and we have 4 windows in lounge so everything looks worse than when we started. So none of Tuesdays list done but beautiful upstairs and lots of mess created downstairs.

chivas - yes. each day lil_me puts a list on the first post of the thread. just do what you can off it, or devise your own and use the thread for support. thr main thing to remember is don't try and do it all at once, just do a bit at a time. and remember how much better it will feel when you get it done!

Been catching up a bit on monday.
I meant to say to pigpen if you've not already dealt with your vhs kiddies tapes - I usually take things like that to the VHS video seller in the Market, they might give you a couple of quid for them which is all good! Otherwise charity shops.

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    [strike]Clean floors[/strike]
    Level Two
    [strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
    [/strike]
    Level Three
    [strike]
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
[/strike][strike]Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week
    [/strike]
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • [strike]
    • Wipe the outside of all your small appliances (kettle, toaster etc)
    • [/strike]Clean out your vacuum cleaner, get rid of the hair from the brushes, clean the filters is they are washable and clean anything else you can like the ‘muck bucket’ etc, make sure you leav it to dry thoroughly before putting it back together.
    • Clean out the freezer, I find the vacuum cleaner is good for getting up any crumbs in the bottom or stray peas etc. Defrost it if it needs it.
    • [strike]Clean under small appliances and bigger ones if you can manage it[/strike]
