Cheers rach - I wasn't sure whether the plan was to make our own lists or to use a template! So does the list change every week then??

I only live in my place half the week, and work full time. Also love cooking, so whenever I make the extra time at home to do housework - I ending up doing something more involved for dinner - which just causes more mess!!!

Although the kitchen is the cleanest place cos I use it so much ;)

My mum and dad are coming for a week long visit in 10 days, so I need to get the place sorted by then... but I'm fed up of "yo-yo" cleaning

I need to get into the habit of not being a midden :o

I haven't been on here much because kids are all home and getting to use PC is impossible but it keeps them quiet. Especially the 22 and 23 year olds! Stops them fighting.

I did not want to hear that Poohbear59!! - not after DS2 threw major tantrum in the supermarket (lets bite Mummy in the back of the knee and hurl the trolley into a passerby) to be closely followed by DS1 rediscovering the joys of throwing a wobbler. I've kind of been hanging on to the vain hope that by the time they are 18 they will have settled down and sorted out their sibling rivalry...

beckiem you don't have to complete the lists to join, some of the lazy toe rags (mentioning no names! they know who they are :rotfl:) just post on here all day instead. You've done great on your first day :) well done.

Lil-me: now I'm scared and paranoid: have you got a cctv thingy coming through the computer doo-dah into our [STRIKE]hovels [/STRIKE]- I mean homes?

    I hope its ok I haven't started on a Monday (!)
(And I deleted the dining room/stairs stuff!)

First task: print this list out, to motivate myself when I get home!

    Manic Monday - Kitchen
    Level One
    Clean floors
    Level Two
[strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces [/strike]
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
    Level Three
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe the outside of all your small appliances (kettle, toaster etc)
    • Clean out your vacuum cleaner, get rid of the hair from the brushes, clean the filters is they are washable and clean anything else you can like the ‘muck bucket’ etc, make sure you leav it to dry thoroughly before putting it back together.
    • Clean out the freezer, I find the vacuum cleaner is good for getting up any crumbs in the bottom or stray peas etc. Defrost it if it needs it.
    • Clean under small appliances and bigger ones if you can manage it
    Tuesday Living Room and Hall

    Level 1
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Level 2
    Dusting, even if around everything
    Remove clutter (my nemesis...)
    Clean window
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Level 3
    Wipe light switches and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors etc
    Tidy shoes, coats and bags
Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Clear one hotspot (Am going to have to go and look up what this means ;))
    • Gather any borrowed items or library books and return/rebook/check dates
    • Wipe the leaves of your plants
    • Sort through any magazines or paperwork lying around
Wish me luck - I'm going to need it... :-S

My sisters are 24 and 20 and STILL hate each other and if in the same room for more than 15 seconds they end up yelling at one another.. mad thing is they both get on fine with me.. it doesn't get better!!

A hotspot is a place where you put one thing down and it is quickly followed by many others (the desk and cabinet by the street door in my case:o )

    Good luck

Edit - beat me to it

most people do a day at a time, but if you live in a smaller place (as i do) it is more than possible to do a couple of lists in one day. rest assured, it does get a lot easier! we've all found that when the room comes around again (the following week) its a lot easier, as flying allows us to keep on tope of it.
